I'm looking at the Din and Jis charts and 9mm hex just doesn't show up. What's 9mm? Rusted out 3/8?

I have a few security items that have a 9mm socket built in... Steve

Can you tell us what the thread size is for these screws? For some reason this topic comes up regularly. Aside from Swedish vehicles (and, I'm told, some Mercedes), Suzuki used 9mm bolt heads extensively in the Samurai and Sidekick models. I've owned Suzukis, and currently have a Saab, so my 9mm wrenches and sockets have seen a lot of use.
Off the top of my head, no. Next time I take one out I'll try to remember to measure it.Can you tell us what the thread size is for these screws?

Same here. I ran all over for an hour and finally just bought a whole set just to work on that thing. We ended up with 2 Escapes and one Mariner in the family.I needed one to work on the wheels of my wife’s Ford Escape. It was hard to find. I had to buy a whole set that included 9mm.
Except for certain flange din bolts and jis non flange. You need a 12mm for m8, 14mm for m10 for jis. And a 19mm for a m12 DIN non flange.9mm wrenches are made for people who can’t stand having incomplete sets. 8,10,11,13,15,16,17,18mm would likely get 99.9% of the work done.
They are also made for people who open brake bleeders on European cars.9mm wrenches are made for people who can’t stand having incomplete sets. 8,10,11,13,15,16,17,18mm would likely get 99.9% of the work done.
1975-93, VW used bolts for the pressure plate to flywheel that are 9mm 12 point.
I was thinking to the end of the mk3 and realized after I posted I even had that date wrong @1998It goes on after that.... all the way through to Mk 4 at the end of 2006!
It's an all metric engine. They are all probably actually 11/32 which is the screw head for a #8 diameter bolt lol
I have a few of it's cousins.
