1/2: any news on Grandson #3's arrival yet? i'm not sure how one grows roses like that, but very impressive. also very nice how you built the Shed and you were able to keep the hanging roses alive and able to put back up so you'd barely know you have a brand new state of the art Shed there.
just curious did you do all the brickwork in the garden areas and your fence or were some or all of them already there when you bought the house. they look fantastic and if you want to do another picture or video tour of the property while you are doing one for the West Wing you have my vote.
keep a little steel for the
SHED DOWNUNDER sign if you might want to make one or are you planning on getting a big piece and putting your Model T in it or Gramp's wagon?
cheers and i'm betting #3 is today and hoping it goes well for your daugher in law and son.
drives, thank you..
It looks like
Amy is into hospital today to get induced to bring on
Grandson#3 so we will be waiting, waiting and waiting.
The roses are easy to grow, they really just look after them selves. The climber would be about 15 years old now and I wasn’t going to sacrifice it for the carport build, I just couldn’t do it.
I have done all the brick work for the garden beds and the veranda column myself, the low brick wall is an original part of the home. I have tried to keep everything in keeping with the homes original build.
With the front fence, I had an old school brick layer do that for us, too bigger project for this
black duck. I had salvaged about 5000 bricks of the same era and from a dairy that a mate of mine was demolishing some years ago 200 at a time in my trailer over a number of weeks. The lime mortar was easy to clean off and for the most part I did that on site as I loaded them. I had always had an image in my mind what I wanted in terms of a front fence, then I put it all down on paper, submitted it to council for the mandatory application, approvals and permits. I had a mate with a small excavator do the fence footings and give me a hand with the concrete pour.
The front fence.

I will most certainly be doing a sign for the
Shed Downunder without a doubt, there is plenty more offcuts of aluminium, stainless and steel plate here to do what I have in mind..
Well done sir! Perfect training material I think (being a Ford guy myself). Reading your first post on the subject I thought about the missing center of the "d" but you have already corrected that. And after all, that's what training and first samples are for right? Hope to see samples from training class #2. Keep up the good work.
rmalkow, thank you.

I have made some tweaks to the drawing template so we will see how that works out today in
class# two.
I spent some time in the Shed last night and started the polishing process on one of the smaller aluminium
Fords Scripts, it’s now at a stage where I need to hit it with the buffing wheel, the aim is to try for a mirror finish..
Pics to follow..
Thanks again for your visit..
PS no news yet..
