Hi All,
There are another few new blocks and many heads I have in stock for Dad to work on, we are short on space but I do like to keep Dad busy, but only when he feels like it as there is no real rush...... but next week would ok lol:beer:

Block are about 800 Aud but I've collected a few over the years at ridiculously cheap prices, all we are doing at this point is block preparation but I do have billet cranks sitting there ready to go haha.

Thanks all for dropping in

Andrew

One needs to be careful with all those engines on stands: I have 2 and it seems that flat surface disease has mutated to them as well!

Back procedures went extremely well. Now I'm scheduled for hernia surgery the day after Christmas, too! Yay!!!

1/2: with Andrew helping on the ENGINE REBUILDS (or at least watching very very closely and learning from you) I bet that is maybe somewhat a dream job you've created in your Shed? AND with the grandsons handing you wrenches and learning how to read gauges and fix stuff those stainless steel benches will sure get a workout.

I for one and very very happy to hear you are feeling good and maybe getting close to being 100% again.

i wish you and your family a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and I know 2019 is going to be an amazing year for you compared to this year which you managed to pull through nicely.

cheers.

This stuff is over my head mostly, but still love checking in and seeing progress.

Many thanks Rian:thumbup:

thats one thing I do not do is flat surface disease on an engine, that would do my head in.:willy_nil

Ric that is fantastic to hear that your back procedures went well:thumbup:

All the best with your Hernia op:thumbup:

Drives never fear Andrew will be helping with the new engine builds thats for sure. I am looking forward to it.
BTW he took one engine block and bits and pieces home today so I only have 4 Rover K Series here now...

Health wise things are on the improve but still not out of the woods yet my Oncology report was good from the Scan with the pneumonitis almost clear and I am on antibiotics for two weeks as my lymph nodes have acted up possibly from some infection.
Another full body Contrast Scan and bloods in a months time to see how I am tracking.

Likewise I would like to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic 2019.xmas

All a Mrs 1/2 Cup recommendation for the shed. Its all about ergonomics and saving my ageing back. Hare and Forbes had them on special last week.

A nice lift table was delivered yesterday..

These things are fantastic. Best thing i ever bought.
It lifts my self prop mower right up to bench height when i need to work on it, also will lift heavy things up to the right height to put em on the ute.
Wouldn't have thought about it in years gone by but with my worn out body it saves me all the time.

Enjoy your Christmas Steve ,and keep out of the heat that's supposed to be coming.

Cheers lyndsay

Lyndsay I totally agree, especially in the shed ergonomics is generally over looked, even Andrew commented on it.

It will be hot one for the next week or so. The solar panels are clean and the Shed air conditioner is ready to go..

Been trying to talk myself into one for a few years. Now I have to take another look. I do expect to see pinstripe on it in the near future.

You got one smart lady there! Her recommendation is spot on and you are going to love that thing and how many ways you find to make it useful. I love my lift even though its a bit bulkier that a nice table like yours. I can no longer count the ways it has saved me from heavy lifting or even for lighter tasks it just provides the right work height. That's a good looking model for sure and I hope you get much enjoyment. Congrats and Merry Christmas to you and family.

1/2: i'd love enough flat surface to be able to buy a lift table and be able to use one cause some of my stuff just isn't that easy to move from my Honda to my garage. VERY WELL DONE and you'll love having that especially with all the engines and it's parts that keep showing up at your home.

it's Christmas eve in your part of the world and that's usually the night we have our big family get together. hope you enjoy the time with yours this Christmas and I agree let's have an even better 2019.

cheers and more prayers sent for your continued better health!

Yes, a flat head v8 in an A model, you just have too!

Terrick I really hope that the deal come to fruition, I already have an early gearbox to suit the application. These 4 engines are a bit of a barn find but we need to do a bit of an assessment as I have not even layed eyes on them yet ..

The 32 I drove a while back really spun my wheels.

1/2: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

the sounds of MODEL A with a V8 were heard here in the PNW and we weren't quite sure what it was cause we have Boeing making and flying their test planes here. I suppose if you can't put one of those aluminum Rover engines in your cool Model A the sounds of a V8 if you can swing it sounds pretty good.

good luck!!

cheers and hope you and your family have a great day!!

Steve, a lift table has been on my list for a long time. I may have to move it higher on the list -- my back is OK and I'd like to keep it that way.

It's Christmas down under so have a Merry one (and a great Boxing Day). I feel like you got your Christmas present through this year. Have a Happy New Year and continued good health.

Steve, enjoy that micro lift :)

Merry Christmas..and stay cool.

You mentioned clean solar panels. Are you up there hosing off dust, or is there some other magic at play here? You’ve had the panels up for a few years now..overall thoughts on efficiency, hardware, etc?
