1/2: Just curious what holidays you have Down Under during the year that you all get paid time off work? i'm guessing Christmas is one, but I think I've heard of a couple Australia Day holidays or maybe it was another name close to it. i know you acknowledged that we had Thanksgiving, but not sure you celebrate it or have a paid holiday for it.

I'll let 1/2 answer some of your other questions tomorrow - but since it's 3.30 in the morning and I've got a touch of insomnia going on...... - as to our holidays - there are 9 public holidays per year in Australia that employees are paid for:
New Years Day, 1st January,
Australia Day, 26th January,
Good Friday, the whatever day of the whatever month that happens,
Easter Monday, ditto to the above,
ANZAC Day, 25th April celebrating our loss of a war in 1915 (I don't want to be too flippant about that - but it is celebrating a loss - Google it),
Queens Birthday, the something of June every year (even though that's nowhere near the Queens actual birthday),
Labour Day, some states do this in May, some in October,
Christmas Day - You know what day that is....,
And Boxing Day, ditto.
As Steve, like the rest of a sensible country, is probably asleep (like I want to be but can't), I hope this helps a bit.
