Hey your secret is out, you do great work so why not. I'd volunteer but the daily commute would only only allow 2 minutes of work time.
Stewart, you would be lucky to get 2 minutes of work with a weekly commute. Travel time plus jet lag and international dateline crossings eats up the whole week. Around mid-day Wednesday you'll be ready to work but better start packing for the return trip.

Hey 1/2cup, I knocked off early yesterday so I could go here before they closed...

...I think you know what I went there for.

Great stuff Mark:thumbup:, are you happy with it?

I know you are knocking things off the list at a rapid pace. I have a project to add to the list but I think you and the Mrs. will approve. As an added bonus, I've enlisted Lyndon to handle the interior part of the project. Hey Lyndon is just sitting around in a tub drinking adult beverages waiting on something to do.

I think a master bathroom would be a great addition to the new place. Make the 1/2 Cup B&B very cozy. Drum roll.......

Shorty, now that is not a bad idea.

Shorty

Onya! I'm busy enough trying to keep my list under control, and you go and sub contract me out. :lol_hitti

And it looks like it could do with some work, but I'm very good with the paint brush, just slow....... ;)

Lyndon
Wait till Steve sees that????? :shocking:

Lyndon while you are down this way you could always make it a working holiday.:lol_hitti

Accommodation comes with contract.

shorty, as above you could stay over but the frequent flyer points might out weigh that.

You are right there Bob.

2 minutes! He has forgotten about the loss of a day as you cross the international date line.

HOTFR8 So it looks like I will organise an extended work Visa.

Then go around the world the other direction and gain a day of work. :lol_hitti
JB

Good one JB, never thought of that one, mind you it is still early here.

I am on leave for today, Mrs 1/2 Cup has just left for Sydney (a nine hour drive), well an hour or so north to Gosford. I fly up there first thing Sunday for our No.1 Grandsons 4th birthday party then drive home with Mrs 1/2 Cup Monday.

At least I will get some Quality Shed Time (or I should correct that to Quality Sheds Time ) over the next two days.

Have a good one and thanks for dropping by.

We were travelling to Eildon yesterday and sadly were one of the first few on the scene of an accident between a truck and SUV which claimed the life of a 60 old in the SUV. between Yarck and Merton on the Maroondah Highway.

It was a horrific head on in reasonable conditions and on a straight stretch of road with a gentle rise.

The truck was engulfed in flames and you couldn't get close due to the constant explosions coming from the load. The truck driver was ok with just minor injuries.

A pretty sobering moment and a reminder to stay safe and alert on our roads.

Gees Steve. That's not good.

It's a fact of nature that an SUV of any size doesn't win taking on a 62.5 T B-Double. Guy in the SUV was probably asleep from the position of the truck verses the impact point on the road. We had one of our guys in exactly the same sort of accident 5 minutes into his run from Tamworth to Sydney 2 weeks ago. And the other guy in the car didn't survive either. But his son, and his son's mate, who were also in the car did, luckily. The driver fell asleep in that one too.

Have a great weekend in Gosford, and some QSsT before then. We'll pass underneath you on our drive tomorrow and Sunday.

Lyndon
A sobering reminder indeed ahead of our journey! :eyecrazy:

So what plans for the new shed? (Getting away from that gruesome topic). Given you have some Qx2ST before you fly away for a weekend.

HOTFR8, the lists is something like this:

I have sprayed for spiders during the week so I need to rig up some temporary power, vacuum and pressure wash from top to bottom.

My eldest dropped of his chain saw and weed Wacker this morning so I figure that will cut out the next day or so.

I need to get to the electrical wholesalers today to pick up what I need for the Mains, main switch board, main earth and socket outlets for inside the home.

I had a site meeting yesterday at Eildon at the hydro power station that we release water to operate. The purpose of the meeting was to investigate the integration of some of the power companies SCADA monitoring to interface with our network.

I was given the cooks tour of the plant and an insight in to its operation just awesome. The picture really does not do it justice.

Normally we don't get access, so the tour was something a bit special.

Spiders always make a mess. I have found the leaf blower good to clean them up a day or two later after spraying. Pressure washer will make a mess and many spiders do not mind the water. No point flushing them given they can hold there breath for such a long time.

Sounds like you have it all planned out so a busy few days along with a trip away. Where do you fly out from? Tulla or something closer to Shepp?

Those are some cool pictures, reminds me of the inside of Hoover Dam. I took the Dam tour 20 years ago.

Strouty it is certainly some thing you don't see every day, its a little bit smaller than the Hoover.

Thank you Coop. A small world yet again we have up graded our Primary Data Centre last year and that was a great project to be involved with.

I fly out of Tulla at 8 on Sunday, my eldest is dropping me off as he has stuff to do in Melbourne so it works out well.

Thank you all for dropping by and have a good one.

Is that the new name for next door - the west wing!

For the want of something better HOTFR8:thumbup:

I think it's a great name for it  ...

...congratulations on acquiring the "West Wing" ...

That was post #3104, but you were already headed that way in post #3100...

...I had been thinking of calling it the Western Annex or Wing to the Shed Downunder...

What plans do you have for the "West Wing" shed?

Nice safe storage for the model A?

Plus numerous Model A spares and sundries to numerous to mention that I currently have in the shed.

The net result is that I will be able to swing a cat at long last.

Note to file: no cat will be harmed in testing the available space..

Thanks again and have a good one...

Being a true descendant of Convict origin and a First Fleeter I feel I should advise every one that room to swing a cat refers to that whip called a cat of nine tails.

http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/no-room-to-swing-a-cat.html

Mind you having met Shelby I know for a fact a Cat would never get near 1/2Cups place.

:lol_hitti we certainly do not have any issue what so ever with cats with Shelby around or prowlers for that matter.

That is sad to hear or see an accident like that. Seems to be a growing concern with the phones these days. I don't know if that was the problem in this one, but it is in a lot of other cases.

Lots of nice items to show off. Not knowing what a Mangle is I had to google it. Now how can that be used in the shop, hmmm?

akdiesel, we are not sure what caused the accident at this point???

Mobile phones and vehicles don't mix and out here it is a $455 fine and four demerit points if you are detected using one. On average on my twenty minute commute from work you would see may be six or so using phones while driving, just another of my pet peeves.

Note to file: 10 demerit points = loss of licence.

https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/safety-and-road-rules/driver-safety/mobile-phones-and-driving

I offered the Mangle to Mrs 1/2 Cup when our washing machine died a couple of years back but she never saw the funny side of that one.:dunno:

Have a great day and thank you for dropping by.

Another point here. If 1/2 is swinging that cat whip then we should all be ashamed he has so many projects on the go I often feel lazy in comparison.

HOTFR8, I missed your post earlier.

Please don't feel ashamed, I think I should take a long hard look at myself having way too much on the go at times.

PS I do have my slack attack moments at times.

The other thing I must do is take this computer out of the shed it has been a distraction today I must say.

That is easily done when the topic is so busy.

Is guilty a better word? As for having too much on well I can agree with that. Some times I never get to post here on the GJ due to being away or busy with something.

You have one coming up this weekend. I think that is called essential family slack time with your Grandson. Well earned I should add. ;)

The distraction has been the day off from work. :lol_hitti
