Me too!

1/2 cup, you've been very busy.
Keep up the good work!

Jon, I thrive on being busy and it is amazing what you can get through chipping away a bit at a time. I still allow some ME time in amongst every thing that goes on. I feel that is important to keep in mind..

You are a machine. Like John and Andy said, you're making me tired, and I just finished breakfast. Great job as usual.

Sorry xtremek and thank you in the one sentence.

1/2: you might want to start off your day watching a little of the Ryder Cup cause i think the US team might actually win it this year. crossing fingers and toes and heck i think we have more vice captains than players, but there have been some amazing shots so far. while you were checking off more things off your to do list yesterday than i get done in a week i couldn't leave the TV and quit watching the Ryder Cup. keep up the good work even if you make some of us look bad.

sorry i forgot it's your Monday so maybe you'll have to sneak updates on the Ryder Cup off the computer on your breaks.

Cheers

drives, Monday morning it is and I am just having a sneak peak at the GJ before I get started proper at work.

The Ryder Cup is not telecast out here to the best of my knowledge, that said the news covers the highlights...

Steve, the power grid is actually pretty robust in this part of Florida but we have a weather problem. We have severe thunderstorms on average 80 days a year with 25.3 strikes per square mile and 1.45 million lightning strikes in the state. A lot of the storms pass without knocking the power out but 26 or so direct hits in my neighborhood is just part of living on a peninsula known as the other Sunshine State (go QLD).

Bob, weather is a huge factor in most of the power outages here as well.

That is certainly and amazing amount of lightening strikes.:shocking:

Most of South Australia lost their power last week due to some transmission towers being bowled over by strong winds.

Anyway, thank you one and all for the visit.

Time to log off and get back to work..

Speaking of rain, Haiti is expected to receive 40 inches (1,016 mm) of rain from hurricane Matthew in the next day or so. I've been to Haiti and it is a disaster area on a good day. With no trees and very little vegetation on the ground, everything just washes into the ocean where the silt kills the fish and other food sources.

You almost sucked me in. I started to count clocks.

NO! I don't have time, I won't do it, that's just crazy...

I'll be right back, I've got to go look:willy_nil

Are we counting clocks and watches which don't run?:eyecrazy:

Is this going to be a new thread?:dunno:

Andy, it deserves a thread all of its own.
Counting clocks, :willy_nil

I really need help:Help:

Counting clocks should come with a health warning..;)

29.5 mm of rain here. Roads closed to my west and still forecast more rain and storms. Forrest Creek is again flowing well.

QST. All has to be inside here.

HOTFR8, we didn't much more than 12 mm in total, that said the Goulburn and Broken Rivers which meet here have risen substantially over night and we are at a Minor Flood level now.

Lake Eppalock is spilling as of yesterday a far cry from the 40% it was at just a month ago.

http://www.g-mwater.com.au/water-resources/catchments/storage-levels

Lots of road closures locally as well, check the Vic Roads site before you travel to Elmore..

http://www.elmorefielddays.com.au/

Edit, take your gumboots to Elmore, from all reports it is a little damp underfoot..

Regards

Bob, Hurricane Mathew is making the news big time out here.

40 inches of rain, that is amazing we would be lucky to see that in a year.

Man that is hard to comprehend. :willy_nil

No doubt it will impact to some degree where you are??

Thank you for the link..

All, just a quick one and pics to follow as soon as I can.

We became proud Grandparents for the second time today.

With the arrival of Isaac Roy ( after my grand father to keep the family tradition and memories alive ) to my second son Cameron, wife Briana and brother to Jayden

I don't even know his birth weight :dunno:

Both doing well.:)

Mrs 1/2 Cup is making the 9 hour trip up to Gosford which is just a little North of Sydney to be there as all good Grandmothers do as I type this. I have been relegated to home duties and rodent watch for the next few days.

As always, thank you..

Proud as punch...

WOW. Congratulations on the family addition. I take it you will not be at Elmore given you are on Rodent watch.

Still wet here and my plans will most likely be put off another day until the last day of Elmore being Thursday but that again will be weather permitting. If I do go I think I will need a spare pair of shoes as I am not a fan of gum boots to walk in for a great length of time.

I too will add my congrats to you and the family on the newest addition. Grandkids are the best. I love my girls deeply, but their kids are the cats meow. Probably it's because they are not our responsibility to raise. We get to have them for awhile and rarely have to be their disciplinarians.( Big word for me to come up with aye mates?)

Counting clocks, a new passion:thumbup:

Well known fact that European dynasties have fallen and been destroyed by subordinates not knowing their place and taking over. Thus the time honored tradition of keeping intermediate royalty in place so they don't cause trouble. And this, children, is where the phrase you know so well, Clocking Counts originally came from.

1/2 - I see your name is being appropriated by others in a similar fashion. Thank goodness you were grandfathered in - Congratulations on the safe arrival of the latest to dilute your family name. A pity you can't act like a grandmother!

Dan, thank you. yep they are the best and it is great to have them around. That said my grand parents were very firm with us as kids but loving and caring at the same time.

Disciplinarian I am not when it come to ours, more like a "steerer in the right direction" type person..;)

Yep Dan, I think that's either correct, or maybe wrong :)dunno:), but maybe Dr Google will be the ultimate arbiter . . . . . .

Lyndon

All, with a few days off work and in between domestic and rodent duty there will be a little Quality Shed Time to be had.

Just pottering with the under bench drawers for the bench below.

View media item 37592
My drawers slides and handles arrived yesterday for the project and I had completed the support brackets last week.

View media item 64253
The under bench drawer build will be in keeping with what I have done on previous builds, this is my fixed work bench drawer supports that I completed last year.

View media item 50750
The end panels will be the same as on my fabrication bench, below.

View media item 42984
It goes with out saying I will be keeping true to the breed and fitting Stainless Drawer fronts to match.

View media item 55337

Enjoy your day...

And a glass of something.... Well he is Australian...? :beer2: :beer2:

Lyndon
Baby pics already - I'm impressed.....

Gentlemen, thanks for pointing out the fact that young Isaac is a right hander.

The cruel twist to that is that his Grandmother ( Mrs 1/2 Cup ) and Cameron are both molly dukes :lol_hitti
