Great news Steve.
Those mobility scooters get up and go as well. Have fun. :3gears:

Aaron, My sister and I had a ball last night driving around the court that Dad lives in.:3gears:

It does have some get up and go with a top speed of 12 km/h and a range of 40 kms on a full battery..

Why investigate ? Views of your topic have to be a good thing.

Just remember it is not a V8 Supercar. :)

HOTFR8, you are right, delete reference.;)

V8 Supercar or MG F the scooter is not.

I think it does need a little more camber on the front wheels to improve turning at speed....

No....but it could be.

Finallygotit, Tim the Toolman here we come:3gears:

My sister thinks the scooter would look great with a set of truck stacks on it, but I would much prefer a set of zoomies to be honest..

The Australian flag has taken its place on the wall of my garage!

Vieux, absolutely fantastic, it looks great..:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

drives, thank you.

That is one thing I can attest to I could never ever say there is nothing to do around here..

He will have it a Winton next along side Andrews car.

HOTFR8, now that would be a sight to behold..:lol_hitti

Again, thank you one and all for dropping by, I trust you week end is going well..

On the scooter front. A quick "Tim the Toolman" trick that I've used several times is to get a second set of batteries and hook them in series. You should see what a 6v Fischer Price Power Wheels does 18v. :3gears::lol_hitti

xtremek, I like you thinking..

I will hold that thought until Dad successfully gets off his probationary status before I start doing some tweeks to the mobility scooter...:3gears:

It does need a bit more camber on the front though..

Thank you again..

Dan, that's gold.:lol_hitti

Now as for Dad, that's totally out of the question but for me that looks like fun..:3gears:

What could possibly go wrong?

Run out of gas, I guess...

Andy, in my incapable hands lots could go wrong..:headscrat

Just warning every one out there.:shocking: It could end in tears.

All, I will just throw out an apology for not keeping up with situation normal here.

The last few weeks I have been suffering a cold with all the usual symptoms and it has been tough to shake but I looks like now I am just starting to run on all eight cylinders again as the last two nights I have managed a full 8 1/2 hours solid sleep and waking up refreshed for the first time in a while

Secondly I have been having issues with our fire walls at work just on the GJ and I am working with IT for a resolution as I type this. We are permitted to use the internet at work providing that we follow policy which I do.

It can take up to five minutes to load a page which is difficult to deal with as I usually get about 15 minutes at 6 am and about a 1/2 an hour at lunch time that allow me to keep up with things in general. I have no issues here..

Anyway thank you so much for your visit and patients, have a great day..

Glad you're back running on all 8 1/2.

Dan,

Glad your all better Steve. I think we are in for a very cold winter this year.

Aaron

The common cold is no fun.

If 1/2 is running on all eight is he a V-16? Or acting like a flat four?:dunno:

Andy,

 Acting like a flat 4 sound about right..

Glad you're feeling better 1/2 Cup! No apologies necessary...

Coop

It amazes me that you find time to do all the stuff that you do Steve, so no apology required at all.

Glad to hear that you're on the mend.

Mark,

Much appreciated gentlemen, I trust your day is going well..

Looking forward to the weekend...:rocker:

PS my work internet is actually working today..:dunno:

Running on all 8. :dunno: The way half flies into all his projects makes me think he has some sort of aircraft engine. Well he leaves many of us trying to follow all his projects and keep up. ;)

HOTFR8, nearly running on all 8.

Sometimes I don't know how I keep up myself..:willy_nil

For example this weekend: Mrs 1/2 Cup is in show mode.

Thursday night:

Me -Wash and dry Jackie.

View media item 58298
Mrs 1/2 Cup then grooms and oils her coat.

Tonight:

Me - Wash and dry Jackie twice to remove oil then conditioner, rinse and dry.

Mrs 1/2 Cup - blow dry, dry, trims nails and grooms.

Me - unload Outlander from my work kit, load with all her gear - Gazebo, show cart, chair, matting and sundries to numerous to mention.:willy_nil

Tomorrow:

Me - 6.30 am onsite to set up her stand.

Grab an Egg and Bacon roll at the show for breaky.

Leave her to it.

Me - partially demobilise her stand as this is a two day show.

Sunday:

Me - 6.30 am set up stand again.

Grab an Egg and Bacon roll at the show for breaky.

Leave her to the show.

Me - on call then out to the show when summoned and pack up, unload at home and store then reload my work car for Monday.

In between that I would like to finish the MG F Cup car brake caliper assemblies as all the bits have arrived now...

Situation normal for the 1/2 Works.

I trust you guys are having a good one and thanks for your visit..:thumbup:

Have a great weekend.

1/2: i can see why your (Mrs. 1/2's) dogs are champs. they pose pretty darn nice and even the one that didn't get in the picture was trying to. do just the little ones perform now or does their Mom get to still now that she has all the ribbons and titles?

i bet Andrew has been waiting on the brakes and for you and him to finish up his car so best of luck with that.

I know you are a slim guy, but i hope you get a little food in between those bacon and egg sandwiches this weekend while Mrs. 1/2 is working at the show with the little Rodents. :dunno:

still raining here more than not, but we did have a couple sunny days in the 70's to remind us that summer should be here soon and i'm sure your weather is turning the other direction again.

cheers and always good to check in on your thread and see pictures of your place and your crew.

My wife still says "we" need to... even though she hasn't been capable of much for years. It's just their way of including you in their plans.

I envy you Aussies getting an early start on the weekend. If only I could get one more weekend day in every week I'd be happy.

The good thing about the dog shows is you get quality shed time in between:thumbup::thumbup:

Steve, growing up in the US (before McDonald's) we had luncheonettes that made wonderful egg sandwiches with and without bacon but the Egg McMuffin has taken over. One of the many things I enjoyed down under was the quintessential Australian Egg and Bacon roll. This is what I'm talking about:

Store Espresso
1314061958157.jpg

Hearty breakfast fare ... bacon and egg roll. An old shopfront with original window remnants was once a hardware store and is now home to this parkside cafe. The bacon and egg roll ($6.50) is a domed, polenta-dusted, crusty number that needs squashing with the palm before being tackled with yawning jaws. Frilled edges of fried egg and crusty edges of bacon peep beyond the roll's edge, begging to be nibbled, and inside a little swiss cheese and housemade aioli melts into the roll.

Dan, you are spot on there as the "WE" invariably ends up being "ME";) :willy_nil

Aaron, just the thought of an egg and bacon roll gets me going..

Mrs 1/2 Cup is all set up at the show now. She always enjoys the shows and showing the rodents..

I hope Shelby gets the same spa treatment. Sounds like a busy weekend. Hopefully with some QST.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Shorty, Shelby is certainly going to get some QST with me today with no rodents about, she loves the shed..

Drives, Mrs 1/2 Cup only Shows the little ones now as their Mum ( Evie ) is an Australian Champion in her own right.

Now that Andrews brake bits have arrived, the pressure is on for me to get them finished this weekend as he nearly has the MG F ready to rock and roll on the dyno..

Never fear drives I don't go hungry Mrs 1/2 Cup has prepared my lunch for today, my favorite an Atlantic Salmon and pasta dish. mmmmmmmmm:drool::drool:

It has been fairly chilly here over night and in the morning but we have had some cracker days this week with blue skies and no rain...

Andy, I shudder when Mrs 1/2 Cup utters the "we" word or has a tape measure in here hand. I am all for inclusiveness but there is a line that should not be crossed.;)

One more day in the week end, I love that one..:lol_hitti

QST this morning has been non existent till now, since setting up this morning I have had two additional unplanned trips back to the show grounds:willy_nil any way one does what one has to do..

Bob, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I give the Golden Arches a miss and treat myself to the odd, real Aussie Egg and Bacon roll.

The Lions club are catering for today and they do a great job for the community..

Sounds like a busy weekend. Enjoy it.

One day down Steve.

"We" have a couple of projects this weekend also. Even though my better half isn't even going to be around this weekend. "We" were given a list this morning and it was "suggested" that if I got the chance, I should see what could be done to cross off a few things "we" need to get done.

Enjoy Mothers Day. It's a day "we" like. At least "we'd" better.

I believe I have at least scored a few points this week at the dog show;)

Speaking of points Jackie accumulated another six point towards her Australian title this week end, so Mrs 1/2 Cup is pleased with her effort..

Sadly my Mum passed away some 10 years ago but our fond memories of her are never far from our minds..

All, aside from all the running around this weekend I have managed some QST finishing the brakes for Andrew's MG F

Just headed out to a couple off bootfairs while Katy snores, I mean sleeps till 9.30 as they are below her class, sadly.

But those bacon and egg baps looked very tempting, may even have to have one at the bootfair, they are alwaysmgreat, and no kitchen to clean.

Looking good Steve.

Brakes looking good!

Was there a checklist?

Andy, thank you:thumbup:

No check list required this time.

Clean, blow dry and clean, blow dry yet again.

Fit new piston rubbers.

Install pistons.

Align the calliper halves - pre assembly.

High temperature Loctite to all bridge bolts, tighten by hand.

Tension each set screw in sequence marking each with a paint pen.

Install cross over pipe and tension, mark accordingly.

That's it.. to easy..

1/2: Andrew's brakes look like a patient on an operating table. good to hear you are able to take care of anything that comes your way.

also nice to hear the little Rodents are still moving forward toward their lofty status that Mrs. 1/2 would like them to obtain.

All, our new Drone arrives at work tomorrow and I am looking forward to the two days training on Thursday and Friday:3gears:

Congratulations on your new drone. With the history, it seems a pair would be in order.:rocker:

It was great to look forward to going to work. I liked that day...

Andy, you don't know just how right you are, but a different brand. One small one and one of the largest in the DJI fleet the Matrice 210 weather permitting its on for tomorrow and Friday..
Even though the cold is still lingering and should take a day off I am going to work..:3gears:

Bacon/egg roll is definitely the best way to start the weekend, I'd be ok if bunnings replaced the sausage sizzle with B/E rolls, can't say the same for my arteries though :/

Further note: great alternative to a roll is smashed avo :p

Will you guys stop talking about bacon and egg rolls. :eyecrazy: That picture in a previous post almost sent me over the edge. I'm trying to lose weight here, not gain it.

Oh will the madness ever end. :willy_nil
