I am in love with that saw, the color scheme is great too. I have a crappy cold saw that I need to do something merging like that with, kneeling on the floor is no fun.

Maybe some headers with dump plates and a discrete set of cherry bomb sidepipes is on the cards?

Ralf99 that would be the way to go for sure. I don't know what treatment the exhaust is in for as yet but you can bet your socks it will not be standard.:3gears:

Sounds like fun! Just occurred to me Chrysler was not the first to make a Bee.

Andy, it was great fun:3gears:

Beautiful '32 roadster, is it all steel and original? either way an awesome vehicle and what a good brother to come over and give you the first ride. I bet that was fun. I can't wait to get my '29 on the road if winter weather will ever give up around here.

Bob, the car is all steel and mostly original except for the V8 and a set of Kelsey Hayes bent spoke wheels.
It was imported here about 5 years ago.
Great fun as we had some fantastic weather for it yesterday..:3gears:

Little Duce Coupe! I bet you were singing it loud and clear as the organ was loud enough to drown out any sour notes.:lol_hitti

Bobby, you could not hear yourself think to be honest but Little Duce Coupe is so right..:3gears:

I absolutely love all the shopbuilt tools, that saw looks awesome! No caps on the legs though?

drummingpariah thank you.

The saw has come up well and I did purchase some plastic black caps for the legs that really finishes things off.

Strouty, thank you.

The colour scheme is the same as the latest OEM equipment and is a hammer tone blue.

A stand is a must do IMHO and you are spot on kneeling on the floor is no fun.

Thank you one and all, have a great day..

Awesome roadster! Did Andrew go down to the MG National Meeting in Tassie over Easter? My brother and his wife in their MGF and dad and mum in the MGA were there, sounds like it was a great event.

Andrew, I did fall in love with the 32 roadster I have to admit, they are a little more refined than my 1930 Model A and it was interesting to actually have a chance to make the comparison..:rocker:
Andrew didnt get down to Tassie over the Easter break, however i have seen lots of pictures posted of the event and your right it does sound like it was a top event..

Amazing progress made during the 1930's in automotive design. From a 1927 T, one redesign brought about the A, four years with minor changes, then the B, V8's, and many changes. My 1931 A looks very crude next to my 1935 Chevy. The 1937 Chevy is much nicer inside and a much better body. Then design stopped so VW could catch up.:bounce:

Andy, the automobile industry sure did make some amazing progress during that time.
I couldn't get over the difference between the 30 and 32, that said it is interesting to see actually what did stay the same over those years at Ford.
At the risk of not being politically correct and sparking great debate I will bet my Model A has better emissions than some other makers.:bounce:

Have a great day:thumbup:

HOTFR8, most definitely. You could almost run it on Kero..

It would have run on benzine that came in two square drums in those now collectable fuel boxes.

I have recently seen them with a $200-00 AU price tag.

1/2: with all this Model A talk can we assume that you might be ready to pull off the sheet off of yours and start making that a priority before taking on any more MG rebuilds? if work can provide enough income with you only working 3 days a week and they are ok with that maybe that will give you more QST?

thanks for the Rodent pics and OMG the little ones looks like they are ready to play now and I can see the mischievous thinking in his/her eyes.

I love those old wood boxes and i've got a few, but i'm out of room to store them so I need to find a way to use them and get them in to my getting organized plan.

have a great day and guessing your weather is about perfect now as ours is trying to improve here.

So what is vacuum oil? To fractionate crude oil it needs to be boiled at progressively higher temperatures and the vapors from that temperature (fraction) condensed into a product which can be further refined or used. Low temperature boils of the highly volatile fractions, then as you progress to higher temperatures you boil off gasolenes, kerosenes, diesel, and are ultimately left with asphalt. Boiling under vacuum, just like with water, allows for a lower boiling temperature and more control over the process. Not that you asked.

HOTFR8 I have one of those boxes and paid the princely sum of $20 for it..

I have five boxes all different and one of those is a Vacuum Oil.

So what is vacuum oil?

It was a brand name for Benzine (fuel). Boxes here in good order bring big money.

When you purchased fuel two square drums came in a box.

Drives, I am getting restless over the Model A, the trouble is I do have a lot of conflicting interests and stuff that just comes out of the blue yonder.

I do think I may look at partial retirement in the not to distant future to give me more QST.

The rodents are full on now and starting to gain their own identities but they are so much fun. Sadly in a few weeks they will be off to their new homes.

The old wooden boxes have a beautiful patina about them. You sound a bit like me running out of room rapidly.:willy_nil

If it is not going to rain the weather should stay like this, its absolutely cracking. That said it will turn cold very quickly here..

Andy, you are a walking data base..

Sincerely thank you for your sages of wisdom..:thumbup:

The '32 looked like a ton of fun. Add me to the long list of jealous folks. Even if it was just a ride.

xtremek my only wish that it lived in the Shed Downunder on a permanent basis..

It was great fun.

1/2: I hope your weekend was great and you either got some QST time or maybe it was a good weekend to visit family friends and play with the Rodents.

i like that you are thinking about your Model A cause from what i've seen of the parts you've done already it should be AMAZING and a lot nicer than that old car your drove around last week.

cheers and I'm still sending prayers that your health will keep moving in a positive direction for many years to come.

Drives, I have had a top week end with only a little QST.

We a have had a big familly reunion about an hours drive south from here ( nearly in HOTFR8 country ) at a picturesque and historic place called Kilmore

https://www.travelvictoria.com.au/kilmore/

We over ran an historic Irish public bar for a Sunday lunch.

https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Rest...s-MacNamara_s_Irish_Pub-Kilmore_Victoria.html

We all had a fantastic day, great meal and a great catchup with relations I have not seen in years:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

A big thank you to all my cousins that organised the day.

Mrs 1/2 Cup has been up in Gosford ( a 9 hour drive north from here )this past week with our youngest Cameron and family for our oldest grand sons ( Jayden ) 6th birthday.

https://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/central-coast/gosford-area/gosford

So it has been a fairly busy time here lately, but enjoyable just the same.

The little rodents and their mum are back at the breeders now for another month or so. Its just been Shelby here and fairly quite I must admit but I miss them to pieces..

My priorities with the Model A do have to be reassessed some what.

Sincerely thank you for your prayers and thoughts, I am doing really well so some thing is working..

Thank you for your visit and have a great Sunday..

1/2: are you feeling good enough to maybe take the sheet off the Model A and take a nice look at it while you make up a new TO DO LIST?

hope all is well in your world and sounds like after a fairly busy weekend with relatives it might almost be TOO QUIET at your home now?

cheers and prayers still sent that your health keeps improving.

Drives, I am going great guns at the moment and feeling well. More bloods and scans this week with an Oncology appointment next week.

It has been a tad busy both here and at work, speaking of which we did a Thermographic inspection of one of our larger channel systems yesterday with the new DJI Matrice 210 RTK Drone looking for different soil temperature profiles that indicate there may be a leak through the embankment wall and pin pointing where we need to repair it.
In all we did nearly 4 miles of embankment taking it in turns to fly and spot for each other. Great fun
Note to file: that is the most I have walked in 12 months, I did sleep well.

https://www.dji.com/matrice-200-series

I must get back to doing my To Do List and include the Model A in that..

It is ANZAC day here today where we remember our fallen in war and all those that have served our country Dad,( who did National Service for many years ) Andrew and myself attended the dawn service this morning.

Lest we Forget.

We have a public holiday for ANZAC day and I have decided to take Thursday and Friday off as leave days to catch up on some QST..

Thank you for your continued support and prayers, have a top day..

Great update!

Very interesting that you can find seeps with temperature. Very cool idea.

Andy, thank you..

The Drone has a AU$25,000.00 thermal imaging camera using Flir technology and it works a treat. We ran a normal high resolution video camera in tandem with the thermal so I am really looking forward to seeing the final download.

 100% approved. :)

HOTFR8, that is just what my boss said.:3gears::3gears:

Have a top day one and all..

Andy, thank you for checking up on me I am still here.:rocker:

The engine strip down and assessment is completed with a two page written report which was sent to the current owner and then got quickly passed on to the previous owner whom had the engine professionally rebuilt only recently.

The engine was in such a sorry state IMHO for a professional fresh rebuild with very little track time under its belt.:willy_nil

I might add this is likely to end up in litigation from the tone of the emails we received today.

Have a great weekend.
