Andrew: thanks again for the updates while your dad is working on beating this ****. keep us in the loop or hopefully 1/2 Cup will be posting up his own words soon again.

His attitude and your family seem like the best cure so keep up the great work while we all say prayers and wish him and your family the best.

Sorry to hear you hit another pothole Steve. We are still praying and appreciate the up dates. Don't get down Steve. Learn to knit if you have to in order to stay positively focused. Please post all pictures Andrew of any knitting Dad does. No matter what it looks like we are still interested and I promise not to be critical.

Hey 1/2. I just got out of hospital after radical prostrate removal. Went really well for the first four days, then they took out the epidural. Haha reality wake up.
But while getting thru this i had to keep my witts about me. One way was to see if the nurses really listened to me, they were but! Every hour when they came in and asked my name dob etc, i would change one slight detail. The best response was one night about 3am i gave my details and about 5 minutes later i hear a roar of laughter and one nurse came laughing and trying to say “ she typed in __.__.1861, after only another 5 minutes the shift supervisor was in the ward. That’s when the joke stopped!
So try to get a good mind set to help your body battle a good battle!

Still no massive improvements to note on dads situation, however a glimmer of positive note his bloods bloods came back really good.

Many thanks to all on the G.J, Dad will be impressed.

After reading the forum for several years but nothing of substance to add, I have specifically registered today to wish 1/2 Cup well.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Andrew, you hang in there too! Quite often the impact on family members is easily forgotten.

Hi All, yet again still no massive improvements to note on Dads situation, he had a shower which sparked him up for 5 mins, then back to snoozing.

Thanks for your support and well wishes.

Thanks for keeping us all in the loop Andrew.

I know the waiting for things to turn around is tough, but your dad is gonna bounce back pretty soon for sure. There are too many things going on in the shed to be away for too long!

1/2: hope you are getting lots of good rest while your body is recovering from all the meds. best wishes and prayers as always!! I hope my 3 birds are still trying to make their way towards you to say hi and there have been a lot of eagles flying around here lately.

Andrew: thanks again for the updates and hang in there. my 86 year old dad went into ICU last July and for 7 days didn't open his eyes and doctors weren't sure what was going on. a few weeks later he was back home smiling and happier than he'd been in years.

ALL: in case some of you didn't understand my Chicago Bears football team article even though the Bears were struggling and probably not winning much and taking a lot of heat for that they won their division that year so guessing they figured out how to improve.

1/2: hope you are able to read some of GJ while you are recovering in the hospital. your engine restorations look awesome and I bet some of the best on the planet. here's to a speedy recovery so you can spiff up a few more engines, fly the drone a bit more and of course some QST. GOD speed and best of luck too.

Andrew: I'm not sure any of the USA automakers make a manual transmission any longer and it was fun watching you shift from the right hand drive of your MG. even though I know how to drive most manual transmissions I bet i'd have a learning curve trying to drive your MG or any right hand drive manuals.

thanks for taking the time to make the video and for your continued updates on your dad (1/2 Cup).

cheers

Nice vid Andrew. Still can't imagine keeping an engine assembly bench that clean!

Keep warm and keep well Steve. Been wondering how you are every time my Melbourne colleagues complain about the batch of bad weather you've had lately. Hope you get to avoid the seasonal complications that come with it!

Thanks again all, no improvements to note at this stage, still on a slow decline

Andrew, I've never met your dad but he sounds like a tough old ****** ( I think he is just a couple of years older than me , so "old" is not an insult. "******" is a true aussie term of affection- for those in the USA !!). "decline" is not what anyone wants to hear , of course. Would you be so kind as to tell him from me , "incline" just sounds better? .
I guess sentiments can perhaps be meaningless from someone you've never met- but my hopes and thoughts are with you, your dad, and your family.

Never met but we've all met.

1/2 Cup is one of my best friends.

We pray regularly for that black duck.
