Congratulations and Best Wishes. I know of what you speak as I worked for SAAB for almost 20 years. When GM moved them from their headquarters in Norcross to the offices in Detroit, I chose to take a "package" rather than dive any deeper into that hipocrisy. That was 20 years ago, I can't imagine it's gotten any better.

Hey folks. Sorry it's been a minute since I dropped by. The boss lady tried to help me by loading MS Office on my laptop, and everything went TU 3 days later. Just got things righted late last week and I'm still trying to catch up. Had all my pics backed up, but none of my files. Thankfully there was only two I wanted, and one is the verbiage I put in this thread. Anyway, things are moving way to fast around here. I'm going to try to get the thread caught up in the next two weeks, but don't hold your breath. Good thing I'm retired, I think I'm busier now than I was when I was employed and driving 4 hours a day. Pics to follow..................I hope.

I'm a couple months late, but 13 years ago my boss shut down my program without notice and I didn't have a job. I had just been married 2 months prior, wife was still in school and she was part time at the Y. It was a surprise and it took me the rest of the day to process it, but as soon as the shock wore off, a burden that I didn't fully understand I was carrying was lifted off of me and I was surprisingly at peace with it all. We didn't know what we were going to do, but we were Ok with it.

I ended up starting my own business and while it isn't a gravy train with biscuit wheels, myself and in turn my family have been much better off. We have a kid that is pushing 8 and I have been to every event, program, school thing she has had so far and I get to take her to school everyday and can pick her up if Grandma can't. If I was still at the old job I would not have the option to do any of that and I would not have the bandwidth to take care of the family like I should.

It sounds like it is good for you to be out of the corporate gig as well.

So I said I get around to bringing you up to date on the shenanigans from around here. As you can see, the front rotor on the Buell has a bunch of hot spots, and needed to be changed.

So if you had several floor jacks and a trans jack how would you lift up the front of your motorcycle? I know I would choose a 1/2 ton antique chain fall.

So to answer Harley Jim's question, this what we (I) did for the hemp project in late summer. This is buckwheat that was planted as a cover crop. I always love cutting anything in this field because the swallows come out in mass and dive bomb the tractor.fall '24 harvest 1.jpgfall '24 harvest 2.jpgfull load.jpg
After I was done, I brought Dad's MF65 home to fix an electrical issue. His back up camera kept draining the battery, so I threw a switch on it and solved the issue.

so now that your retired this thread and the project list is really gonna take off and things are gonna get done?

Im just wondering is all.
I will hunt you down and kill you slowly by singing! To be honest, things are still moving slowly ahead. I've been reading a lot, something I love to do, but never let myself because it always took up too much time. I also quit working out back in August to try and concentrate on the job I don't have any more. So I'm trying to get back into the flow of things.

Death By song well that is a new one.

Though with Suger season upcoming I could use some song singing to pass the time. That might have to be on the sugar shack upgrade list for this seasion to have a radio out there!
