No time in the foreseeable future. Mixing a pallet and a half of the stuff in temps in the upper 30's has left a really bad taste in my mouth.
did you due this in the shop you should have all sorts of room with that F150 not sitting in there any more?

and between Mouthfulls did you rinse? or just shovel the stuff in dry?

Didn't want the mess inside the shop, and Robin was concerned about the exhaust from the motor, so we did it outside. And I gargled with 3 gallons of warm water for every 3 bag load.

On other fronts, Robin got me a modular shelf system for Christmas to help replace what collapsed back last summer. I wanted another cabinet to fill in the hole. This is my attempt at cabinet making using basic electric hand tools. And of course, every possible expense was spared in the making of the cabinet. All wood and urethane was what we have/had on hand. I did break down and bought 4 hinges for the doors.

How did you finish your shop walls? I like that look.

A friend had a BIG 45ish year old horse barn collapse. I took half of the good siding (cedar) and left them the other half. Did a quick power wash and sand with a palm sander, then threw it up. One wall is completely covered in it, two walls have it 4' up (top will end up drywall). Still ended up selling almost half of what I brought home.

Kirk,
Good job!
Would you like to make some kitchen cabinets for mrsjon04?

You're so funny. If you paid me to make the cabinets, I'm guessing you'd be at my house looking for a place to stay, before dinner. But for this shop, were function is priority, "it will" work. (said in Doug Marcaida's voice)

Just so you understand my aversion to the mention of a certain construction aggregates, here’s a picture of one of the offending holes. This started out 2’ wide and 4’ deep and in this picture it’s the opposite. After quite a bit of hand digging, the dimensions were the same (vertical and horizontal), only to come out the next day to find more had fallen in. Half of the 23 holes were like this.collapsed hole.jpg

If he's willing to risk it, I'm game. He can sleep in the back seat of my daughter's truck. There's a TV with a BluRay, and a mini-fridge in the shop. I'll even set up the coffee maker for him, or anyone else who needs a place to hide for a couple of days.
I need to remember this next time I make the wife super duper mad. I'll have a place next state over to hide for a few days!

so all these holes are in your driveway? jeepers you got some sinking going on there for sure!

Maybe you should try Ice fishing out on the lake instead of in the driveway like you been doing?

Here’s a pic of the cabinet about 95% done. Since the doors are only 1/4”, the screws stick out. I’ll end up using some machine screws and nuts to finish this project. And no, I’m not going to finish sand it, I’ve got more important things to do, like insulation and fleet repairs.
