My dad had one just like that. It was used originally in a huge manufacturing facility and had a folding trailer tongue on one end for moving it from area to area with a golf cart. It also had THICK bottom frame and 2 c-channels welded to the bottom so that it could be lifted via a fork lift. He sold it to a guy in the mid '80s for what then seemed like a stupid amount of money - $800. I would give twice that to have it back.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one going... but it's only a taco cart... I even went as far to look and see if it was a weird taco cart... you know... one without cheese or tomatoes... but nope... it's a taco cart of taco carts.

For the record... I would sell my left nut for a taco cart.

Actually that's pretty high IMO for a poorly repainted taco box. Look at the overspray on the castors. I think he may get half of the $1,200 he's asking.

A fresh coat of resale red and she's ready to go.. chiseling out 40 years of old gunk out of the slides will be free of charge though..

I sold mine long ago. If I recall these had the old friction-type slides. I thought that would be a cool retrofit project. Converting those old slides to the more modern style ball bearing type.

Yeah. This old fart has one of these in near perfect shape purchased new in 1984 and still in use today. Nicknamed the Hot Dog Cart originally designed for aircraft hangars (where I worked then) with a very low profile (for under wing clearance) and a tow bar attachment so it could be towed from hangar to flight line. Of course it has a unique suspension system that allows smooth travel. I'm now back in automotive and have two Snap On top boxes sitting on top of it. An awesome combination.

Taco cars is a name that the public has given them. People think it looks like the mobile taco cars that vendors push around, similar to snow cone carts.

Snap on originally marketed it for aircraft service personelle.
One version has wheels with suspension and even a tow bar to pull it behind an aircraft tug.

Log time ago I was thinking of getting one as it would be a mobile workbench with storage for tools in the drawers and misc stuff in the back cabinet.
At the time they were list $2855. And there was a promo on it for $1855. Ended up not getting one at that time but have bought and sold 3 used ones over the years
