I'm noticing this a bit more lately when foraging around Craigslist for boxes - people are using the accrued interest as a selling point.

Retails for $5655, selling for $5000 - but it's a deal, because you won't pay interest!

If I had $5K cash in hand, I'd be talking to a dealer directly and buying new, rather than a completely **** discount on someone's used box.
