hello all
I was wondering if someone could help me, I have a 60 amp panel in my dettached garage, that is 220. it has 6/2 wire feeding it. I need to have 6/3 wire to it, I know I have to upgrade the panel which is fine, but my question is and no giggling if its that funny, can I run a seperate 6ga wire along the 6/2 to the panel. (its in underground conduit) and that way have 3 wires and ground out there?
or is there another way to satisfy the requirement for a small oven that needs a 3 wire connection.
I would perfer not to have to buy 60' feet of 6/3 due to the price. but I would want it right so if I have to I have to.
Thank you for any help.
