Adding AC in my reloading room

I’ve converted my mechanical closet into a small reloading room. I need advice on the best way to add AC here which seems pretty easy... just pop a whole in the main trunk but I’m concerned about two things. 1) the velocity coming straight off the trunk and 2) how to set up the return air which sits directly below the unit and hot water tank.

For number 2 I think I can just add a small filter housing?

That's pretty cool thank you for the suggestion - how loud are these? The adjacent area is living space so I want to make sure it won't be disturbing when in use.

watch your airflow volume. Can impact scale readings, not sure your reloading process. I have a fan I run and turn it off when I measuring loads because the digital scale is so sensitive it picks it up.

Check the specs for decibel level, but yes they are quiet.

I'm not an HVAC guy, but check on rules/guidelines for having a return air vent in a mechanical room where you are running gas heat and water heater. You want relatively dead air flow near the burner so the flame is steady, and you don't want to pull gases or CO back into the house plenum.

There’s no gas but I can see your point on this I think I’m leaning towards the fan
