OK, long story short - fixing up some dspo 'renos'...
Need to add a stud, so I can properly support a small section of floor (cubbyhole for shoes at front door - which sticks into my daughters second useless closet). The current floor is supported by finishing nails through plywood into drywall...
yeah not even some pl to glue it...
Anywho, I've got the top 30" of closet opened for reframing this cubbyhole, but really didn't want to rip the whole wall open, and have to fix all the drywall (going to be doing a built in bookshelf behind/below in the closet)
I can't angle/twist the stud in through the current opening, wondering if there's a trick/technique to do this without having to completely open up this wall...
Any ideas? Or should I just start opening up a wall?
