Advice on fixing my existing building

Looking for some advice. I have a 32x28 and an RV carport 16x43 right next to it. The city doesn't seem to want to let me build a new building due to zoning changes. Even if I rezone, I'm maxed out at 1200sqft.

My existing building was poured at 2 different times. The back 8x32 has a 2" higher slab. The roof structure will have to change as it has a partition wall that acts as a header 1/2 say through the building and ceiling height is 8'. Im going to retruss the building no matter what.

So Im looking for advice on what to do with the slab. It is a monolithic slab like most foundations is in Texas. My buddy suggested pouring a new slab over the old one. I could put a lift in on the front 1/2. Do 4" of concrete on the front lower section and 2" of concrete on the back taller part.

Other iffy option is to try and pour a footer/stem wall around the building build it wall by wall as "repairs" and then breaking out all the old slab and building. I will close in the car port to gain the 600sqft or so.

Suggestions on replacing the concrete floor?

Maybe I'm thinking of it wrong, I would see about having it professionally saw cut so that you can break out the higher part. I think it is also going to have to be cut next to the walls as well, the saw may have limitations and I would not try to flush-cut it, I would leave 6" width minimum, even if a small step remains.

Next break out the rotary hammer and dowel all edges for rebar.

Next, prepare and compact washed stone for the base, apply reinforcement, I prefer rebar.

Last pour and cure a new piece to match existing height.

It sounds like you stand to gain a good amount in enclosed space.
