Looking for some advice. I have a 32x28 and an RV carport 16x43 right next to it. The city doesn't seem to want to let me build a new building due to zoning changes. Even if I rezone, I'm maxed out at 1200sqft.
My existing building was poured at 2 different times. The back 8x32 has a 2" higher slab. The roof structure will have to change as it has a partition wall that acts as a header 1/2 say through the building and ceiling height is 8'. Im going to retruss the building no matter what.
So Im looking for advice on what to do with the slab. It is a monolithic slab like most foundations is in Texas. My buddy suggested pouring a new slab over the old one. I could put a lift in on the front 1/2. Do 4" of concrete on the front lower section and 2" of concrete on the back taller part.
Other iffy option is to try and pour a footer/stem wall around the building build it wall by wall as "repairs" and then breaking out all the old slab and building. I will close in the car port to gain the 600sqft or so.
Suggestions on replacing the concrete floor?
