Alright Guys,

I know this post has been beaten to death a hundred times but I'm in the same perdicament :headscrat. Which Air Compressor to go with? Currently these are what I'm down too.

1. Husky 30-Gallon Portable Electric Air Compressor

2. Campbell Hausfeld® Portable 20 Gallon Cast Iron Air Compressor

3. Kobalt 1.6 HP 30-Gallon 155 PSI Electric Air Compressor

4. Campbell Hausfeld 1.3 HP 20-Gallon 200 PSI Electric Air Compressor

It needs to be semi-portable so that’s why I'm straying away from the stationary ones. I'm partial to the Oil-Lubed ones for the longevity of the pump life (I know to be debated) and the noise issue. I also like the idea of a vertical tank for space considerations. I know the most important thing to consider is what I will be using it for so in a nut shell here’s what I was planning on doing with it:
General Automotive Care (Inflate Tires, Cleaning, etc)
Woodworking – Some Framing Applications (Hence the semi-portability); Cabinetry Projects;
Automotive Projects – Occasional ½” Impact and 3/8” Ratchet use; Some Air Chisel and Die Grinder work.

Other than that nothing too special. I won’t be doing any painting as I know my limits and I will leave that up to the pro’s (or people with patience) I value y'alls opinions and especially look forward to any hands-on experience y’all might have with any of these compressors. Also if y’all have any pictures of your current air system set-ups that would be useful as well.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

For 120v compressors, I always recommend the biggest tank at the highest pressure. So the Kobalt is a good fit. However, if you do plan on moving it around, think hard about a horizontal compressor because it's very easy to roll around. The vertical ones aren't.

Also, this is the older version of the Kobalt one, now for $270. Still 30 gal @ 155 psi.

I actually own this one, but bought it on sale 2 years ago for around $350

Also, FWIW, I think you will be fine using the tools listed with any of the compressors you have selected. Bigger isn't always better.

I am guessing the Kobalt and Husky are made in the same factory some where. I have owned both a Husky and a Kobalt and have been very satisfied with both. Currently I have a 60 gal Kobalt and don't ever see myself changing

Well I would not bother with the last one on your list, direct drive compressors are noisy b*stards with a shorter lifespan in my opinion :( stick with belt drive :thumbup:
