Air compressor intake adapter for silencer???

I just installed a 60 gal 2 stage Harbor Freight Air Compressor Model #93274.

Was wondering if there are any pre-made intake adapters to allow mounting a Solberg Silencer or any other silencer?

The intake is rectangular with 2 bolt holes. I need to adapt to a pipe thread.

I can live with the noise if I have to but read about the silencers on here and thought I would give it a try.

Allot of compressors that have the two bolt flanges on the air filter also have a threaded hole in the head. Take out the bolts and see if it’s threaded and go from there

I just went through this myself. The adapter is part number 1312100377. There are a number of sites online who stock it. The adapter is aluminum and came with a gasket and two sets of bolts.

Thank You, I will search for the part. Can you elaborate on what silencer you chose and your results?

And to the first responder, I did remove the bolts and filter and the intake is rectangular, not threaded.

EDIT: Found an old thread using your part numbers. Prices have skyrocketed but parts on the way. Thanks!

Truth be told I didn't really notice a change in noise level...maybe a bit lower but nowhere near cut in half as stated in the other thread. But it did replace the disintegrating foam filter that I was using.

Kind of like an old air intake that sat on the carburetor. Then take a length of rubber hose and fit it to the intake. If you want you can add an additional muffler to the other end of the tube.

Here's the great part, this is a very low cost solution. I spent about $15 to get a similar, CH OEM filter plus hose for my CH compressor. The previous filter was basically no noise reduction. This one dropped that by 8db (per my phone).

I got the idea for this setup from my small CAT compressor. They use a similar rubber tube stuck in the air filter. When I saw it in the box I thought it was a joke. Nope. It was legit and works.
