Like for like replacement is easiest, since you know the pulley arrangements will be correct. Looks like these shipped with a pretty crappy ABAC/Balma pump which shouldn't be too hard to improve upon.
This Schulz pump seems like a heck of a good buy.

Schultz seems to have a lot of compellingly priced stuff for sale. I'd certainly rate their stuff above the throw away Bic pumps a lot of cheap compressor come with. Not a bad price for something with a year warranty and parts availability from a known manufacturer.
If you need a two stage pump you are looking at quite a bit more money.

If it were me I would put a Saylor-Beall pressure-lubricated pump on it and be set for life.

I agree, but I am sensing the budget is not going to stretch that far. That would be a sweet home for a nice Quincy 216 or 310.
For a simple budget replacement look at the HF "3hp" pump. With a 20% off coupon these are around $120. They claim 10cfm and a 145 psi max. Nothing impressive but it also suggests no spec inflation. To fit it to that setup you will need to fabricate a new outlet tube since the HF outlet would be on the left of the compressor vs the center as it would be mounted to that model.
These are definately low buck pumps but they are fairly quiet for what they are and the biggest thing is they are cheap.
Note: you might have to drill new mount holes in the deck plate.

^^I agree. You only have a 3.5 HP motor so no sense spending big bucks on it.
OP,
Do you have the pressure switch, line for the unloader valve, the wire from the pump to the pressure switch etc? You might need more than just a pump based on the items I can see in your picture. If you are missing the pressure switch, unloader parts etc you aren't looking at a lot of extra money but it won't be quite such a plug and play project.

This, I bought an Eaton pump back in 2015 or so, it has been a great improvement.
It is quiet, and powerful.

Yes, I have everything...just need a new pump. Would like to step up to a 'quality' pump.
How do you figure out the pulley size needed on the motor end?
I wouldn't discount the HF pump. We have one on my brother's 80 gallon compressor. It works nicely for what it is.
As for pulley size, the pump should have documents stating RPM and motor power. So something like 3 hp is needed to spin the pump at 1,100 RPM. The motor is almost certainly a 3450 RPM motor. So 3450/1100 = pump pulley diameter/motor pulley diameter.
