I've seen a few stand-up deep freeze units on craigslist for like $50 or so and was thinking. If you drilled a hole in each side of one of those stand-up freezers for th einlet and outlet, then make your "radiator" like some have made on their walls, but just compacted it a bit and put it in the freezer and then sealed it up with some foam sealant (at the inlet and outlet, I know you'd have to solder the pipe!
), would that do any good? I know the copper tubing going in and out would conduct some of that cold out of the unit and you'd have to be careful to frequently drain the air, but I figured I could get the freezer for about $50 and maybe about $100 or so of copper pipe and whip up a dryer?
If it WOULD work, would it be that much more beneficial than the cheapie that HF sells for under $300 with the coupon?
Just food for thought. thanks!
