What kind of fitting is this? On a mini regulator. The other side is male NPT.

I thought it was BSPT, but the adapter I got does not fit.

What are you looking to do?

In my experience those regulators kind of ****, instead of buying oddball fittings buying the correct regulator may be a better option overall.

1/4 NPT will fit but it does not bottom out on the flared part and hence there is no seal.

I am trying to use the regulator at one of the drops in my shop, so I can regulate pressure near the tool rather than going back to the compressor / main regulator all the time.

I am open to any suggestions for other regulators that would work.

I recently put USA-made Milton S-1145 mini-regulators at two of my benches, along with the gauge shown (which was also a recommendation from GJ - thanks @cgrutt!). The price I paid for the regulator was lower than this, though, about $36.

The main air fittings are 1/4"-NPT on both the regulator and gauge, so rather than use the 1/8" NPT gauge fittings on the regulator that you see in the image, I put a 1/4" NPT tee on the outlet and mounted the gauge facing up and the quick-connect fitting facing down.

I would recommend something like this with better quality components than I see in the one you illustrated; both your regulator and gauge look to be very low quality Chinese knockoffs.

I think you'll find it is a straight thread 20TPI and probably 3/8, maybe 1/2", don't remember. Should screw onto a male compression coupling. So compression on one end and pipe on the other fitting should get to the point where you can hook up to most anything.

But that end of the regulator is intended to screw onto the paint gun, not the hose.

I probably have a half dozen of those laying around, most came with a HF gun. A lot of them look like a regulator, but are really just a flow adjustment. Surprisingly, the HF ones are real regulators.

Yup for a spray gun, will fit the inverted flare input fitting on the gun. Who knows why they put 200psi gauge on it in china..

If it is NPT, then you need a NPSM pipe fitting with the internal seal on the male threads. Parker pipe fittings feature the internal seal band to seal on the ball inside the swivel nut.

the seal is made on the small flare so no pipe thread tape or sealant is required.
