I have no idea who else might make them, but I bought a Kobalt air hammer to play with and might make one of those for it.....

By play with I mean muffle, grind, drill holes in, try to make it a wannabe 3X gun :D

I seen these last time I was on the MAC truck. Maybe check their website?

I have one of those from an auction box lot. Has worked nicely on shocking rusted fasteners so they will come apart.

impact wrench would be a sideways force, these would be a downward force same as an impact driver and i'd think they'd be more helpful for freeing rusted/stuck threads.

but wouldnt that assume that the socket was supre shallow to allow the hammering to be transfered to it and not the surrounding material?

for a plain old bolt you'd have a point but most stuff used on equipment/vehicles has a shoulder to it so the socket sits on the whole bolt.

You gotta use a shallow socket, or make sure there's a shoulder on the fastener, like above. And... set the air hammer to low or the bolt won't be the only thing that starts moving.
I've had better luck using this bit than using an impact driver. !Really!

We use those and call the procedure "the shocker"

Works good on pt cruiser/neon rear subframe bolts that seize badly. Seen a ton break off or spin the welded nut inside body. hammer it a few times with that and turn by hand and it threads right out
