Just wondering if anyone on this site has any idea if Alloy Artifacts is ever coming back to life.

I have some things I would like to have them research from my New Britain Days.

Ironically enough, I was thinking about this same topic this morning, and behold, someone posted about it on GJ... :lol_hitti Do you guys know of any books (or other research material for that matter) that pertain to the history of hand tools? I know I have countless books on knives, coins, etc that detail makers and variations. It would be nice if Alloy Artifacts could publish a book, thereby copyrighting there material to prevent others from plagiarizing it. Just my humble two pennies.

Even though he claims he doesn't want people to copy his material, it would be a good idea for some of us to download and archive the entire site in case it goes down permanently.

I'll admit that I'm not tech savvy enough to even know how you would go about copying and archiving and entire site like that.

The Internet Archive took care of that for us:

Here's my old site if anyone is interested:

there are some really nice hardcover coffee table type books out there for antique woodworking handtools and workbenches...I paid good money for them.

someone should do the same for mechanics tools. I bet it would sell...you may not copy his work directly, but you could sure research anything you wanted if you cite properly...
