I bought a big Vidmar tool box that someone messed with the locking bar inside. Its all messed up. Im looking for ideas on how to make it lockable. Its 60" tall with 9 drawers. Thanks guys

Or a bar with a small padlock.Probably not what you’re after, but this box I picked up today has an interesting locking setup. Two eye bolts. One top and one bottom. Looks like a chain can go through the handles and gets padlocked on either end. That is just a guess, as I did not get anything like that with it. Of course it’s aftermarket...
It’s ugly, but it looks like it works [emoji481]
Did you call Vidmar for parts? I would try to keep it stock. One of my lista boxes has a hinged lock bar that is a royal pain as it can get in the way of drawers opening and closing.
This is not my box, but the exact same. On the left hand side you can see the lock. It just hinges over to prevent the drawers from opening. Most common in aviation and mobile setups. It's more for preventing drawers from opening and less about tool security.

That hinged bar was actually designed to lock filing cabinets.
