Prime Days got me this morning! I really don't find that type of marketing appealing, but had a bit of free time this morning and checked on a couple items I was on the edge about. Boom- got me.

Was looking at the XTool D7 scan tool, but the battery life, usb mini charger, and a few other programing features pushed me to consider the D8. Not a professional mechanic, but enjoy doing most my own maintenance and repair work. $479 was within my price point.

These are great, I use them almost every time I work on the truck.

Thanks for the recommendation MOS3522. I most likely wouldn't have dropped this much coin on a set of stands but when they arrived this afternoon, I went back and ordered a second set. Needless to say, they are impressive! When looking at the reviews, it seems the biggest complaint were that the paint was chipped or part of it was lost in transit because the box had failed. It appears that Sunex corrected those concerns as it may be the heaviest cardboard box that I have seen. They had some foam between the two bases and the upright pieces and pins pieces were in another box inside the main box. It arrived pretty much unscathed. Wish me luck on the second set.....

As of now, they are still available...

Are they drop shipped from Sunex? Or shipped by Amazon? Amazon is getting awful with there shipping anymore. Call me crazy but I'm in for a pair too, and I just have a base Grand Prix!
@ MOS3522 Thanks Bro!

Will this still do old $Hi( boxes like I have, mines a 2001 GM 3.4 L?
So $479.00? So it says -37% so that would put it at around $656.**.
Do you know did Amazon really sell this for around $656.** or do you think the -37% claim is inflated?

If you look at camelcamelcamel, $675 is the average price. It is available for $600 most 3rd party sellers. So, I felt it was a good deal.
I actually emailed the XTool customer service a few times asking about my specific cars. It can read OBDII codes from any car, but the diagnostics are car specific. They have a library of 10K files, have good reviews and playing with it today on a 2019 BMW, I had full coverage. I have a 1999 Volvo that they also stated good coverage for. My wife's 2022 X5 is covered as well as our 2007 Tundra.
I like the D8 because it had a much larger battery, better charger, and even programs keys.

You were spot on. $599.00 at Amazon now. But right now if anyone is considering that scanner, it can be had for $550.00. I'm having some issues with that $h}t box of mine right now, hoping the Xtool will help me out. XTOOL D8 Automotive Diagnostic Tool 2023 Newest with 3-Year Free Update($600 Worth) 2.jpg

I believe they are partially cloud based. I have a $2000 Launch that turns into a $200 tool without a current subscription. It’s the way of the future — much of life will be pay as you go and the rich will get richer.

That's what I heard. That's not really right/fair either. I wonder if there is any kind of hack around that or is the loss of functionality built into the hardware or software so even a good IT person or hacker can't get around it?
I keep the wifi off on my older launch x431 and haven't had a problem, it doesnt get tons of use though.

Be careful which vendor you buy from - the XTOOL STORE seems to be the "real" one, there are others with similar names that are not. They seem to have big price drops periodically, just watch the price and when it drops $200 don't wait too long, they will sell a limited number at that price.

Their customer service is excellent and they will offer you an additional year of upgrades if you register with them. I bought the D7 last year from them and have been very happy with it. Afte the four years of free upgrades expire, it will continue to work, it just doesn't add the new updates. They seem to update nearly every day, and if you have an issue they will correct it and make an update to fix the specific issue.

Bessey clamps back in stock, a little higher price ($13.59) I'm still waiting for the 4 I purchased at $8.06.

BESSEY CDF408CHV Drop Forged 8 In. x 5 In. Throat Depth, High Visibility Frame, Copper Plated Spindle with Pad & Handle Yellow

Mine just came in. I also got a couple of the Pony clamps. Whoever it was that said you would notice a difference was right! These are super heavy duty and heavy. I'm actually glad I got both because I think these might even be too heavy for some applications. Anyone who got these for $8 will be happy!

Makita power tools are rarely discounted, but Amazon has the powerful 15A corded Makita JR3070CT reciprocating saw for $199. I bought one back in April for $220, and it is a full featured beast.

Bessey C-clamp deal is back up again @ $8.06 each!

Look for Amazon as the seller and it is backordered at the moment...

Reporting back. Finally got the 4 clamps I ordered. I dare say they are an exact copy of my Wilton 408 clamps. A bit more depth than my Williams 8". Thank you OP! Screaming deal.
