The Metabo HPT subcompact drill/impact combo is on sale for $101. These are powerful enough for everyday household tasks and super lightweight (brushless), and unlike the Milwaukee 12V system, these are 18V so you don’t need a whole different set of batteries. This is a real sale price, I think $130 is the everyday price.
IMO…. These feel the best in hand of any I have ever used (going back to the first 9.6 volt Makitas) Having said that and buying many, many copies, I switched to the Ridgid lineup because I got tired of the batteries dying leaving a perfectly good tool behind. I think I just sent the last setup off from my daughters garage last week when I was cleaning it.The Metabo HPT subcompact drill/impact combo is on sale for $101. I already had two of these and ordered a third.
I bought the KC18DDX kit ( the older kit @ $124.99 on amazon) for $129 at Lowes about 1-1/2 years ago. I love them. Surprised at the amount of power in these compact tools. Lightweight and nice to use. The impact driver trigger requires getting used to as it puts out goodly power almost right out of the gate. The drill has what feels like a brief 'soft start' delay in reverse which might help prevent stripping screw heads when removing them. After some time I bought an upgraded charger on ebay that has a fan and more informative charging lights.IMO…. FWIW, CoO is China.I’ve had that Irwin Hammer in my cart for a week now but haven’t pulled the trigger. Thinking of it as a gift for my kids when they finally move out

I was gonna pass, I mean $6.99 for shipping? But then I changed my mind cuz $24 + tax really doesn't kill the deal when retail new is $64.40. But then Amazon offered 30 days of free business Prime and only $9.99 for 1 year. Well twist my arm and make me buy it...so I did!If you have a business account, these are $17 right now. These are my favorite flavor of linemans. They have the tape puller, crimper, and dipped handles. I like the comfort grips but they're miserable to carry in a bag.

I bought a set of Klines linesman pliers for the sole purpose of installing crimps properly. I had to redo several that failed inspection due to improper crimp with wrong pliers type.Ok, I have to ask… what do you like about linesman pliers? I have never found a use for them & have always gravitated to other pliers, for really everything I’ve done from electrical work, automotive work, and even when we had horses on an acreage work. I have a couple pair of them but never reach for them.
Not trying to insult anyone, just trying to figure out if I’m missing something or not because I love the brand!
Crimping, twisting wires before wire nutting, and turning wire nuts if access is limited (too deep inside a box). The angle of the jaws when opened matches the angle of the cone of wire nuts almost perfectly and makes them very easy to turn. I don't think that was an accident.Ok, I have to ask… what do you like about linesman pliers? Good ones (+ a screwdriver) will do 99% of everything needed for wiring, (sans conduit and drilling).probably the first tool electricans buy. but have to admit mine spend more time pounding on lock rings and knock outs than cutting wire.

someone got a shock trying to cut a live wire!

What? No 15* offset on the box end? Makes for scraped knuckles.
Not to TC, found this for $16.49 after 45% off coupon.this was posted a few months ago for $35.99. if i find something i like but don't want to buy right then for whatever reason, i put it in my wish list and note the price that way if it gets close sometime in the future i know what a good deal is considered and can buy even if it's not at the previous deal's price. usually it doesn't do me much good, but sometimes you can find an even better deal. here's an example and i just jumped on it.
28 Nut and Bolt Thread Checker, Kinok Bolt Size and Thread Gauge, 14 Standard & 14 Metric Sizes Bolt and Nut Identifier Gauge with Inch and Centimeter Ruler,All-Metal Board (Red Square) 27.99

I have not been paying much attention to Craftsman tools lately. What's the COO of these and the V sockets just posted in this thread?Huh? What makes you think the box end is flat. It isn’t. They are really nice, great value wrenches.
Well, to me they looked that way in the picture and wanted to point it out to any potential purchasers who might be disappointed.Huh? What makes you think the box end is flat. It isn’t. They are really nice, great value wrenches.

The wrenches are very close to FACOM’s. Both made in Taiwan iirc. The hex sockets are similar as well, with some version of the anti-slip groves. Lots of pliers and screwdrivers are made in France by Stanley for many brands, including the FACOM brand.
Just saw this and I'm tempted, but the coupon is now only 20% off instead of 45%Not to TC, found this for $16.49 after 45% off coupon.
