I'm glad I jumped on one yesterday

Been looking for a decent set of wrenches. In for a set!

Yep, saw that and ordered then came to say the same. It's 40% off now. I just ordered one for a gift (I already have a set on a cable)
picked the titan branded set for 41$ open box; looks good, the small peen hammer feels like the head could've been glued further into the handle but I may be mistaken. I'm not very used to these longer handle hammers but I'm sure they'll come in handy w/use. Quality seems fairly decent.edit 2: Cancelled order below due to faked dead blow heads.
cancelled>> edit: I do not think the ball peen hammers are dead blow reading more reviews
Reviewers for the left set confirm the ball peen is dead blow (much like the right set). Looks like a decent deal compared to hf icon dead blows.
solid deal. Thanks for the reminder, My lathe only takes a 4" chuck but I was able to find the vevor discounted on ebay because of this.
Order cancelled by Amazon
Went through the same bs just a few minutes ago. The 3rd party seller canceled my order. Called Amazon, because they were still listed, but at $44 bucks. one rep said my card was declined. Another said there was no carrier available. Both were bs. They didn't want to sell at the $10 price Amazon had set, so they just canceled $10 orders. They told me to go ahead and reorder, and they will refund the difference when they arrive. We’ll see. Give them a call.Order cancelled by Amazon![]()

I got my 4" yesterday from ebay and the 6" from amazon today. I don't have much use for the 6" atm, though might make a weld rig from it or use it on a drill press as an indexing table.
$93 now.I thought this was a pretty good deal. $60.85

Yeah, ordered one for my 1980s Jet lathe about 2 weeks ago. Supposed to be here on the 14th.
I'd probably get a rotary table/div plates w/o a chuck.Interesting. A lathe chuck as an indexing table on a DP??? Is there a YT video for that too?
Mike
I'd probably get a rotary table/div plates w/o a chuck.
Another option is to just use the adapter plate w/a square tail and mount on one of these vises...though maybe clamping the round stock onto the vise achieves the same goal at that point:Thanks, I'd found that video last night, and started watching it, but when I saw the dumbbell weights, stopped watching, figuring it was the wrong thing.
I just watched the last few minutes, and WOW, that was brilliant. Basically a poor-man's rotary table (with limited granularity, of course)!
I don't know a lot of poor men with all of the equipment he used to make that, of course...
Mike
I found the indexing plate superfluous as well. He could've used the adapter plate for the same purpose (albeit w/a smaller indexing rod) and used the bore of the chuck for the brass spacer since it's literally a plug w/no thru hole capability.Trigger warning! The guy making this is not used to talking for others. Tons of Um..., And..., Well..., And eh...., almost made it unwatchable.
Looks ok for what it is, but it seems very tall and looks like it could get out of perpendicular fast if you were not careful. Also surprised the rod doesn't have any kind of spring tension to keep it in the groove, or a way to mount the whole setup in one piece (rod/holder bolts separately).

Looks like it's about time to build the weld positioner that I'll probably only use once every 10 years.

Last I looked, it was $69. Gotta love Amazon pricing. Glad some of y'all were able to catch it at $26 when I posted it.Yeah, ordered one for my 1980s Jet lathe about 2 weeks ago. Supposed to be here on the 14th.

It sure is frustrating. Milwaukee tools even worse.Last I looked, it was $69. Gotta love Amazon pricing. Glad some of y'all were able to catch it at $26 when I posted it.
Camelcamelcamel says usual price is $33.99, Amazon's "typical price" is $27.99. I say good!
I returned the orange one. You could barely read the white letters. Ordered the black version a few minutes ago.I ordered one of the bolt /thread checker. I previously got the orange one that was about 50 cent cheaper, but white on orange is not a good contrast!
I have a cable version... Do not like it much. It works but didn't like itIf you search for “thread checker”, there are quite a few under $20.
I like this set of individual pieces because it allows me to check female threads in things larger than nuts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CMHMH13X?tag=atomicindus08-20
There are a few that are similar for $10 (on cables), but have complaints in the reviews about illegible size markings.
Of course the boards are great because you’ll never lose a size.
I was considering the cable one because sometimes you just gotta take a bolt to a chassis.I have a cable version... Do not like it much. It works but didn't like it
