Pay close attention and be careful of the info.... Camel has only been tracking it for less than a MINUTE.

You posted the same on the flashlight 22 days ago. Where Camel only Started monitoring it.

I've been looking at belt sanders & grinders. I opted for something different but thought these were good deals:

As far as I can tell, this one's offered by bucktools and vevor. Bucktools also offers another version w/no plastic parts for 196 & one w/a 1x42" belt for metal working and 2 speed for about 210. They say it's 1 hp in that configuration but doubt it. The vevor has a better belt guard for easy changeouts and a redesigned ducting for a single vacuum port.

This one is offered by Palgrem, Eastwood, and Bucktools at a higher cost and looks to be well rated (Amazon rating is for all different model offerings but the 2x42 is all 4 or 5 star, well received on youtube as well) I think it's a discontinued craftsman clone. It says 3.5 A as do the Palgrem and Bucktools which does translate to 1/2 hp but the others advertise as 1/3 hp so I'm thinking no efficiency's accounted for. Eastwood also advertises as 1/2 hp but does have a 5A rating though motor frame looks same

this next one looks to be a multitool knockoff but identical to eastwood versa, the hp on the combo unit seems a bit low 3.1A vs. 6A on the multitool, eastwood says 8A on theirs. The arm attachment available separately could probably work best w/a higher powered hf or facebook marketplace unit, the motor diameter does look signficantly smaller than Eastwood's and smaller than multitool:

Looking to get a generator to keep my home going during power outages. Helene had us without electricity for 10 days, want to be better prepared next time.

Hope to get this one for ~ $800. Westinghouse 12500 Watt
if you don't need that much power, I'd suggest looking for something smaller that won't use as much gas. Costco often has deals on Firman dual or tri-fuel units

"IF" you can afford it, buy a Honda.……. You won’t regret it.
Honda gennys are pricey but they are the best and easy to sell if you need to get rid of it.
Several major storms knocked out our power for 3 weeks and I ran the Honda 6500 watt machine non stop without any issues……… I finally installed a Kohler 20KW whole house then sold the Honda.

TIP! Before you buy ANY generator make sure you can get parts for it.……. Lots of folks purchased these "budget friendly" machines and found out a few years later they could not get parts (especially carbs) for them.

BTW! A buddy of mine purchased a cheap unit (agains my suggestion) and found out during a power failure the crappy dirty AC would not power his electronics in his furnace.

Do your calculations first. My gen runs at 50-60%. You don't want a strain.

Is everyone giving you un-asked for generator advice? No doubt. Here's mine.

Get a Honda inverter generator at lower wattage, maybe recharge battery packs as needed (use at night, scatter around the house).

The problem with big units is that you're a slave to the gas station.

Yep same price as Lowe's. I bought the flex head version but mine is pretty rough (high back drag), not lubed, and you cannot open it to lube it. For the flexhead version, the flux action is pretty nice and it's a pretty small ratchet.

And the price is pretty good... I don't think I will get any more v series ratchets though

I picked up a few of these V-series ratchets. They have high backdrag because they have a rubber sealing ring, and they seem to ship without much lube inside.

However, you can drip some lube in through the selector switch. Just prop the ratchet so the switch is facing up, add a drop or two of lube, wait a few minutes for it to soak in, add another drop or two ... you get the picture. And if you then spin them with a drill for a few minutes at a few hundred rpm (both directions), they break in, and backdrag goes way down.

I wouldn't get one in 1/4", because even after lube and break-in the backdrag is still on the high side. But in 3/8" and 1/2 the backdrag after break-in is quite acceptable in my opinion. And these ratchets are built like tanks, have an excellent selector switch, and great knurling. The XL flex ratchets in 3/8 and 1/2 are a great bargain.

I'm thinking of building one....note that you can get USA made aluminum wheels and bracket for 70ish and 40ish....this bracket is metric:

this is the ebay seller, frame kits (DIY or built) are very reasonable:

some stuff cheaper at their store, other stuff I could not find.

I have this one. It has been good. I leave a 20 lb propane tank next to it.
Never ran pump gas through it, and don't plan to unless things get real wild.

I returned these unused as it's impossible to get most USB C chargers into the housing to actually charge it - not a great design.
The supplied cords work fine, but the lights are probably not worth $5 each

Edit:

Just opened mine. It's easy to get the charging cable into the housing, however mine is USB-C to USB-A. Not exactly a fast charging system.

The light is insanely bright and I like the motion sensor. I'm going to keep these as they were $5 ea.

I also bought a 4 pack of these a few weeks ago. Great light. No issues charging, not super quick but plenty fast. I put one on my Dog at night for going outside, has helped up to his abuse.

Maybe the stock cable, but those are like 3 inches long. None of my nicer cables fit and that's a deal breaker for me - try to minimize clutter and extra cables.

Mine were also pretty wiggly / loose connection even with the stock cables. All good, easy return with Amazon.

I’m going to try another cable and report back.

Again, I’m not expecting much for $5 ea.

If they hold a charge for an hour, I’ll consider it a win.

Quick update: my other USBC cable fit fine in it.

And I charged it overnight for the first time. The charging indicator light is solid green (fully charged). I know some reviews stated that it never achieves a full charge.

Mine has…for now. We’ll see about longevity.

From the 'Westinghouse' website.

"up to 7 hours on a 20 lb. propane tank"

That there's my problem with those things. On the larger units, you either have a garage full of flammable stuff (and in the case of gasoline, an age management problem), or you just get a short period before you're off to the races trying to find fuel. Naturally, there's some fuel to be saved with bigger inverter generators, at double the cost (also, the ones I've seen don't handle the throttle kick up very well in terms of power quality).

Our local gas stations tend to be offline in a power outage, and, of course, the retail places are completely out of butane, propane, etc. the instant there's a problem. JIT supply has it's issues. You'd be surprised how grouchy people get if there is some solitary place with fuel, their inner barbarian comes out pretty quickly. Of course, no power = no internet = no open for a lot of stores anymore.

During our last big outages, the fun part was watching the mayhem from people who ran their house propane down to zero (with no resupply in sight) and those with Powerwalls after they got a day's worth of comfort.

Really, there's no good answer, or everyone would do it. After a few week+ long outages, it becomes a kind of interesting intellectual problem.

I my area, the biggest and most likely issue we have for power outages are storms/tornado's, not massive widespread events. I usually have 6 or so 20lb tanks around, one stays with the generator to give me time to get more if needed.
Propane is available in a lot more locations than gas or diesel. If a business is still open without power, you are more likely able to purchase it since it doesn't rely on electric pumps. Plus, as you said, no worries about storing it for a length of time. I can always run it on pump gas too if necessary.

Headlamp deal is back, except is a slightly different light now. Current one also has a red light and battery meter lights on it.
I got the previous style, no issues with charging and very bright, Not a ton of throw distance on it, but I'm use to using different lights that do have much more throw distance to them. Be sure to click the $10 coupon box. (coupon may go away, so if you don't see it, might be too late for it)

How do you charge those? I could not get a cable to stay plugged in. Is it more than just plugging in to the charge port?

Not for me, I just used the USB-C cable I use to charge my phone
If I'd buy the 4 pack, it works out to $4.66 each after tax. 4 pack has a 50% off coupon.
Ok, thanks.

They are comfortable with his light but my 4 would not charge unless I heals the cables in place. My set is going back. I received defective ones

Send them back, mine charge and work just fine. You definitely got a bad batch.
