6" Wilton Tradesman as low as I've ever seen it on Amazon.

Wilton Tradesman Bench Vise, 6-1/2" Jaw Width, 6" Max Jaw Opening, 4" Throat (Model 1765) https://a.co/d/3V9RS2F

It was still too much. :lol_hitti

The through-hole in the spindle for the handle is so crooked that I reached out to Wilton to request a replacement. Technically a cosmetic issue, but I expect better from a premium brand name like Wilton.

Mine comes tomorrow. Hope I don’t have the same quality control issue. Was trying to upgrade from a 15 year old reproduction Colombian with 5” opening that I think I paid $79 for.

I reached out to Wilton and was contacted by Eric Douglas, JPW Technical Service Lead. He explained that their policy is to direct folks to arrange a return or exchange with Amazon for purchases made inside of 30 days, and that he would be happy to send me a replacement spindle after 30 days have passed. I suspect this policy is there to prevent scammers from purchasing a vise, requesting replacement parts, then returning the vise for a full refund and selling the spare parts for a profit (the spindle is not cheap!).

I told him I'd wait for the replacement as I'd rather fix this vise instead of passing the buck onto the next unsuspecting purchaser.

Good for you, don’t settle and hold them to a standard.
Absolutely mind boggling. How does this happen? Its not like there's some guy on an assembly line with a hand drill making these holes. There's got to be a jig and some kind of automated process. How does this operation even get screwed up in such a way?

Mine is straight but the handle seems to fit a little loose in the bore hole, but maybe it is supposed to be loose.

I bought one of these back in 2016 for $43. This one uses one input to feed all 12 circuits. The one posted in a link above is split, with one input to feed 6 circuits and another input to feed the other 6 circuits. So depending on your need, this one may be a better fit.

For what it is worth, my Blue Sea parts started arriving. Happy, no complaints
But one point to note - these fuse blocks come with no fuses . Not a problem, but for some reason I figured they would have a small assortment of various sized fuses included for convenience
just to keep in mind

I expected that, since a few of the pics showed the block without fuses. Probably so you can decide what you want to use.

I was watching a soda blasting video and someone suggested using a spray tan booth to collect the baking soda. I had posted a larger rig a while back that required more setup time but these seemed nice enough:

I suppose one could use a growing tent made for "growing things":

There's also these smaller/pricier ones if you need extraction near a window for soldering/smithing/painting small parts:

I ordered a set for the air cutoff tools.

Probably already have a lifetime supply, though..

Told my wife she can give them away as door prizes at my funeral.
I pulled the trigger too for mine. Might have to pick up a new cutoff tool now to match my battery platform (current one is different vendor).

3" though.

I'd rather have 4.5"
the 3" mini tools are on a league of their own compared to angle grinders in terms of control.

UPDATE: DO NOT BUY- I cant recommend these anymore. After using them on 20+ or so mobile projects a few (2) have failed

Failure: the ratchet gear teeth will strip and make it hard or impossible to raise.
what a bummer, everything else has been solid, but the gear for action is just soft.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Im a bit of a self proclaimed caster ****, I can appreciate a good caster and have been putting them on damn near every large/heavy item in my shops for the last 20yrs.

Ive found a new caster that really shines in shop equipment usage. Ive ran full locking casters, floor locks, and plenty other custom jobs for planting a piece of equipment. The ratcheting feature on these is the real highlight, previous versions require you to spin a very small adjustment wheel with 2 fingers. This is a huge pain in the ***. The ratchet makes quick work of the adjustment.

These 2 in 1 casters are a excellent middle ground of mobility and planted

MSWY 2.5" 1100lbs rated ratcheting casters @ $12/ea is a smoking deal - the build quality is very good

I suppose it depends on cause of death, but I'd assume your face and finger are valid whether you're living or not. Let's just hope the morgue doesn't get you too soon.;)
It only costs $300 or so if you’re cremated within 24(?) hours of death. Costs rise dramatically if you miss that short window.
