Koken 1/2 ratchet with release button (4725zb) now $59

link

Not an all time low, but low price and ships free from amazon japan when you use amazon.com Buying from amazon japan puts it about $80 after shipping...

I just sent for one, found it when comparing the gedore kit on zoro for similar $ with 1/2 ratchet.

I ordered the 4725ZB from that exact link on 2/25/25 ($57.31). It finally got to me on 3/30/25. It was worth the wait. I think the prices trend towards lower when they are out of stock but due back soon. I seem to get my best Amazon pricing on stuff in that state.

UPS charges Amazon for home pickup, so Amazon shifted the final mile on returns back to the customer. UPs dropoff locations are set up to handle bulk returns, the delivery trucks aren't.

Right, but I could not drop off at the local ups facility. Where the semi loads are sorted and put on the trucks. It has a small retail storefront that is open select hours for shipping or getting packages held. I also could not give to the driver that picks up everyday at my work. "Final mile" for me was 45 miles each way not counting lunch detour. Had to drive an hour to another town to return, take the wife to lunch 20 minutes further away, then drive back home. Ended being 3.5 hours that I should have been working on customers projects and $60 in fuel and lunch. I would have been money ahead to use then for targets or toss in the trash. Only returned on principal.

I just got back from dropping off an eBay return. FedEx authorized shipper wouldn't take it ( some BS about the QR code) so I had to take it to Walgreens. The neon haired associate with a full half acre of tattoos and multiple facial piercings was very helpful.

Glad to hear a nice comment about an employee of one of my investments.

On chat they've always given me a free printable label so I can give the package to my UPS driver at work, when I've held my ground.

I like to mention Walmart will send Fedex to my house to pickup ;)

Sounds like you're back in Western Washington?
It may be better to buy the one with the wiring harness, unless you've already got wire or something to use.

Also, now that I received the orange outlets, it turns out they have an isolated ground and are not a "regular outlet, but just orange in color". What do I do with them? They require a separate ground wire per a thread I started in the electrical forum.

Just got my outlets in, these are normal 20A receptacles just orange colored, unless you didn't receive CR20-O. The color of receptacle body is not an indication of its use, although it might be common for some industries to use certain colors. The certification requirement for receptacles with Isolated Ground is to have an orange triangle visible on the face of the receptacle. Leviton makes isolated ground receptacles in a variety of colors (including orange) but these are not them.

Normal outlet, just orange

To keep this on track... the orange outlets are back in stock but back up to $15.75

Orange was used in our industry to indicate a dedicated circuit for computer equipment, servers, switches, ect. Nothing else was to be plugged in, otherwise it was just a normal outlet.

Good price if you happen to need 205/70r15
Sailun is good for Chinese tires

$66.01

Sailun Atrezzo SH408 All Season 205/70R15 96T Passenger Tire

The load capacity on these tires is . . . terrifying. What can you even use them for!

I didn’t really need any more torx drivers right now, but these Tekton red hard handles are cool and this sale price was a good excuse to get some.

$20.80 for the set of 6; T10, T15, T20, T25, T27, T30.

Thank you.

I don’t need these but ordered them anyway lol. Tekton hard handles are my hands’ favorite. And since they’re disco’d, might as well add to my hard handle collection.

lol I didn’t mean to shame you.
no shame, I had my doubts late last night about posting them since you could die if ****** insulation.

These came in, level in blow molded case , tried negotiating partial refund but Amazon issued full refund. At the newer, higher price, go w/another vendor w/the wooden case.

Checked squares (all came in single blow molded case) against 123 block and lathe bed and could not see light pass through the gaps. Longest edge against flat bed also no light. Dimensions printed/advertised are a ball park, these were in metric and some dimensions were closer to metric and others closer to imperial (if that matters to you).

You can pick up some vintage units of such device on ebay for about the same, just no case nor precision scale, just an FYI. I'm setting up a lathe (soon 2 lathes)

Yost ADI-8 vise currently on sale with a 30% coupon.

This is a lot of very good vise for the money. I've used an ADI-4 for about 5 years and like it more than the USA-Made Reed I have in the same shop.

I've seen some in this style (appears to be a similar style of the welded forged unit that's rebadged under different names) bu was unsure if these cast units were any good. Thanks for confirming.

I finally got around to using this thing and it's pretty awesome, those V-grooves are super handy. Had to drill dead centerish into a 1/2" drive shaft and this made it a breeze w/o needing any parallels to raise it. It felt like it did tighten a bit cocked but just gave it an extra cinch and no problem.

They're legit, I just bought the ADI-8 with the coupon because I've had such a good run with my ADI-4 and the only gripe I've ever had about it was that sometimes the throat depth and opening range wasn't quite enough for whatever I was doing.

I just saw a Wilton (and Vevor) w/reversible Jaw for more throat depth in a similar style.

I have a Wilton with the reversable jaw. I picked it up probably 6 years ago at Princess Auto on clearance for $100. Just started using it 6 months ago. Light use so far and haven't needed the reversable option yet. I like the flat anvil.
