The vise I ordered is showing as 'Shipped' in Amazon with a delivery date of Tuesday. I'll give a more informed opinion of it then.
I'd be curious to know if the 4" vise still shows daylight between the dynamic jaw and the support tongue as one of the Amazon reviews mentions.

That and the Woot deal are good prices, but is there any use for this thing other than sharpening lawnmower blades?

Its one of those tools, you don't know you need it until you have one. I bought the M12 bandfile. I use it a lot. A lot more then I expected.

Yes, I guess it depends what you're into but as a fabricator, I can't imagine being without a bandfile (or several). I started with a Harbor freight pneumatic version, then one of the conversion kits to make an electric one based on the the m12 cutoff tool (3/8" x 12"), then when Milwaukee came out with their purpose built models I got the 1/2" x 18" version.

Now I find I value having both the 3/8 x 12 and the 1/2 x 20 handy and would love to have another with a scotchbrite band on it.

For weld prep, deburirng square tubes when they come the bandsaw, grinding spot welds, etc. they're just indespensible. My other most used tool is a RA die grinder with a 2" sanding disk or conditioning disk and as handy as they are, these little bandfiles get into places those won't.

From Amazon Germany so it'll take a couple of weeks but that's a damn good price. As I've seen them go for between $6-800

CRAFTSMAN OVERDRIVE 284-Piece Gunmetal Chrome Mechanics Tool Set, Standard SAE/Metric Socket Set, with Hard Case (CMMT99284)

If you want a no skip set of the Craftsman overdrive wrenches and sockets or is on super sale from Amazon, Ace Hardware, and Lowe's (out of stock)

I ordered one of these but I ordered from ACE hardware..

So about $100 off.

My favorite wrenches are wright tools and ratcheting Proto, but I like these 6 point wrenches. The wrenches alone sell for $150, but come in a nice storage container if purchased on their own.

Very, very tempting...

But someone please remind me that I don't need another set of sockets.

You don't need another set of sockets. I mean you want them, you really really want them, but you don't need them.

You don't need that true torque technology that they use. You don't need that full set of tight fitting wrenches that are six point instead of 12 point. . you don't need all those. No skip sockets... Even at more than $100 off.

I’ve been thinking of getting a heat gun. Thanks @gamp945!
Coupon didn't show up for me until after I placed an unrelated amazon order? IDK but I was able to buy with coupon just now. Thanks @gamp945 ! My current cheapo heat gun is dying.

Security light is a good deal also, recently bought a similar one elsewhere for over 2x cost, less lumens...

It didn’t show for me either initially, but then I noticed I had been signed out

Lowest ever price on the dewalt bandfile.

Powerful cordless belt sander from DEWALT with 700 MWO power and 5,600 ft/min rotation for tough commercial applications. You don't want to miss it! https://a.co/d/hkKWwTv

Those links don't seem to have the tag for Atomic Industries. We need to make sure we give Ryan his income from the links.

For future use, how do you copy a link so it does what is desired?

It appears the widget that recognizes amazon links and appends the ref tag doesn't recognize the links from Amazon's URL shortener. The shortened links are the ones generated by the mobile app automatically. I don't even know how to force the app to show the original link.

To that end, if the widget can't be made to work with mobile links, I think you're going to have a tough time convincing everyone to do all of their impulse buying on a computer.

Are you using the Amazon app?
I don't use it so I'm not 100% sure, but I understand they periodically make it more difficult to avoid the a.co link.
(They probably like the included social tracking part).

If you're in a web browser though, it's pretty easy to just copy the link from start through the ASIN, ignoring the rest of the tracking info.

I guess you could copy the a.co link from the app, paste that in a browser, then copy the relevant part of the new link.
There might be an easier way.

I'm in canada and when I click a link it automatically takes me to the .ca site. I have to strip out the last bit of the URL, which I guess is how GJ makes its %, and change the .ca to .com. Then I see the item specified. The .ca site mostly doesnt show the correct item, and if it does usually at an extremely inflated price. Too bad there isn't a way to prevent the .ca site from automatically loading...

Ok well you guys didn't lie. I ordered one, it came yesterday, I used it 10 times already to clean up scale off some small pieces of tubing I am welding today.

Thank you!
