Here is a pic of mine. It arrived in a box with part of another box taped with my address. Not sure, but my guess is it busted out of the original box and they repacked it. It was just knocking around in the box, but no damage. It is a vise after all.

I ordered it 8/1 and it arrived 8/11.

I just received my Duratech plasma cutter. I’ve never used one before. If I run it on a 4 scfm compressor instead of the specified 6.5. Does current make a difference to the air requirement?

So I think what will happen is that the air won't blow the melted metal out of the way as well. There was a definite difference between the 120V and 240V. If I remember tomorrow I'll hook up my small compressor and see what happens.

I received my $99 Duratech 40amp plasma cutter and it works fine. C$216 delivered to my door includes shipping and handling. I'm happy!IMG_20250806_110957594.jpgIMG_20250806_111016299.jpgIMG_20250806_111037799.jpg
Save yourself some headaches and order a few tips from the same maker. I've got two machines from different companies that take the same tip but one won't work well w/the knockoff tips while the other one does.

kind of. You're increasing your cutting capacity and/or speed by bumping the amperage so it needs more air to move more material and keep the tip cool. You're creating plasma so think of it like a waterjet, you need more mass/plasma for more cutting. Having said that, I've run mine on a rinky dinky compressor that's way undersized for what it's called and the only issue I've seen is the duty cycle of the compressor being annoying so less consistent cutting as it discharges. This Aussie/NZ guy has some good tips on plasma cutters:

For those of you that got it, run it on 120 and report, I'm curious if it's accurately spec'd and when it pops a breaker.

I ordered the 4725ZB from that exact link on 2/25/25 ($57.31). It finally got to me on 3/30/25. It was worth the wait. I think the prices trend towards lower when they are out of stock but due back soon. I seem to get my best Amazon pricing on stuff in that state.
Just got an empty box from amazonjp yesterday. Order 6/9- box "delivered" 8-13...

First time I have had a bad shipment from amazonjp. Box was destroyed with giant holes in all corners.

Spoke with customer services, he states he can not re-order the item only refund me my purchase price.

Still listed for $59 with free shipping if you select seller amazon japan 1/2 push button zeal ratchet 4725zb Now stating ships in 1-2 months. Hope come October the box holds up.

Playing the long game on this one.

Hooked up a 2.1 scfm compressor. It works fine for short amounts of time. I had the compressor at 120psi and the plasma at 80psi. I'm cutting 1.25" x3" channel.

Be aware that its 2 minutes cutting, 8 minutes recovery. 20% duty cycle. For the price I'm not complaining, but I will look at duty cycle a lot closer in future.
Edit; its 25%, so 2.5 minutes cutting...

Here's others w/a bit more oomph in that price range; these will pop breakers at 120 though unlike the duratech. I'm personally a fan of the built in regulators accessible in the front so I don't have to reach in the back. Pressure regulators do go bad though so servicing might be a bigger hassle.

Eneloop AAA prices seem to have come way down. At one point they were over $3 per battery, but very recently dropped to about $2 each.

https://a.co/d/49mpfH1
$1.94 /each for the ten-pack

AA's are still $$ though.

Where do they come up with these brand names? Was Possuma already taken?

I work for a testing/inspection/certification body and was just at a trade show.

One of these Chinese manufacturers approached us with the products they’re launching on Amazon… all with these nifty made up brand names (multiple brands).

I wanted to ask him how they come up with these names - but needed to maintain my work life professionalism.

Amazon has a pretty good deal on a few of these Craftsman Overdrive sets.

Lowes will match these prices as well if you prefer to buy local.

This one is around $120 at most places. Priced at $69.

Not a lot of comparisons on this set but Ace has it for $159. Amazon price is $72.29 with coupon. For the price, I like this set better than the Versastack one.

The sockets in the sets are nice and look to be modeled after the Mac RBRT sockets. Ratchets are run of the mill but they work.

The real deal on Craftsman overdrive if you want a socket set is this one which is $100 off

So $280 for the big set with 284 pieces. It has plastic trays which is how I keep my set but it doesn't have a case.

For hauling around they have some in cases
