I bought the 4lbs version a few weeks ago at a similar discount. Really a nice hammer! Mine is showing 33$ or i would probably buy this one.

Does yours indicate where it was made? Was thinking of getting one but couldn't find anything about country of origin.
Same with Proto's large sledge hammers, if someone has one of them.

I also jumped on the 4lb version - mine indicates made in USA (both on a sticker on the handle, and stamped into the head).
Agree it's nice hammer. Only issue I see with mine is that the grain orientation on the handle is perpendicular to the direction it "should" be, but not sure how much that matters on a short handle.

It didn't bother me enough to stop me from adding the 2lb to my collection at this price :)

I pulled the trigger on the DeWalt oscillating tool. I've been waiting for a deal on a DeWalt or Milwaukee, as those are the two battery ecosystems I live in.

The other item in my cart is an adapter that will convert my Dyson cordless vac to use DeWalt 20v batteries. The vacuum is 7-8 years old and battery life is an issue. The charger and battery that comes with the DeWalt kit will get used for the Dyson project.

On November 10, 2025, someone posted a deal on the VAUGHAN Rawhide Mallet, and I jumped on it. I have been checking on my two orders, and they are still showing and have not cancelled. I also checked to see if they are back in stock, which they are, but at a price that is more than 5 times higher. I am unsure whether I should call to check the status of the two orders. Your suggestions are welcome.

I had something similar happen with pliers a couple of years ago. After a few months they canceled mine and completely deleted the order.

I just opened up this package. That is a TON of top quality zip ties!! Thanks Mr Scavenger! Price is showing $27 now.
So you’re saying my order of two packages might be overkill?

I bought the second pack to give to a friend who is getting into lobstering this season, lots of zip ties used to repair the netting on the traps.

Good deal, hardly any filler, but 40lbs and a large case, so it won’t work for everyone.

Your welcome you cheap, sons of *****.
I have a very similar "Bosctich" branded kit from about 10 years ago. (Bought on clearance, probably because they were rebranding to Stanly, Dewalt, or something else.
Bought a few kits at $99.95.
Mine, one for my son as a gift starting work, and one for a nephew as a gift helping me do some car work before heading off the College.
Blow case is nice because when you finish a job it is easy to see that you put all the tools back.

😃 Not sure what I expected when it said 1000 zip ties. But the bag is good size and the ties feel beefy. USA made

Thanks, guys. I don't "need" them, but they're probably nicer than my Chinese Kobalt set?

Mike

Mine came today, so I'll check them out later this evening and report back. I have many sets like this...but its the first time I've owned a DeWalt branded version.

What's the COO? I couldn't tell from the listing (as usual).

If nothing else, it'll help my impulse control...

Mike
If you are looking for an excuse to not buy....

The 1/4 is missing 4.5mm and 5.5mm
The 3/8 is missing 20mm
They didn't list sizes for 1/2 .

Never used the DeWalt but seems like a decent knock around set.

How has your Amazon Warehouse : Amazon Resale experience been ?

I only grab stuff from warehouse:resale on a item I *don't* care that much about and am willing to experience having the HIGH potential I might up end returning it

In this recent case today, I ended up doing......it was going back.

And I think literally the only other item I have ordered from Warehouse:Resale in the last few years was a 5 handset Cordless Phone which was pretty BNIB....

Skip all my BS below and buy this set if you can still get it for $88 bucks…otherwise and if your skeptical, read the below.

Damn, this is a pretty good set and very inclusive. The case is decent with four latches. The ratchets are pretty standard SBD fare. Sockets are decent with good broaching. I wish they had a little better visibility but still overall decent.

The gem is this kit is the lack of filler. Just lbs and lbs of sockets, extensions, bit sockets and universals. This is a get it done set. It’s heavy and bulky, but it’s very complete and will most things if your working remote on 90% of stuff out there.

The set is made in Taiwan and it shows based on the material quality and fitment. Good ball detents on the extensions and universals. Leave the foam mat in the case if this is going in rig to quiet the noise. The case holds the sockets pretty well but it’s not perfect. Im going to order another one of these.

What a great write-up... Price with coupon is now up to $153, which still is not bad.

This is my current knock around set from SK for $200. It has the missing 5.5mm and 21mm from the DeWalt. SK stops at 22mm so also missing the 24mm..

Then again, my Tekton, proto, wright tool, Craftsman overdrive, and my 1/4" snap-on sets are also no skip sets.

I went to look for one of these sets and only see them at $169.

I also found an old thread on this exact set.
