I would only use the Reolink for observation purposes. If you need to ID people, you are better off with another brand called EmpireTech.

The 2-pack is presently on sale for $380. It's not an amazing hair-on-fire deal but it's the lowest I've seen, and it's basically the same price as piecing out each part of the kit.

For that you get 2 cameras and a Homebase setup. Video is stored on the Homebase and can be streamed remotely but it does NOT use a cloud service (unless you want to pay extra for it, but that's optional).

I have 2 of these: One at my home and one at my work. Image quality is pretty solid and they do have motion-activated night lights (which are so bright I had to turn them down on the home cameras).

Saw this on the YouTube "Tools &Twisties". I'm going to try them out at this price. I have a z series Koken ratchet that I don't think will be replaced by this though. I'm hoping that Koken will bring their knurling, non comfort grip, to the 72 zeal line eventually.

So I'm looking into heat. I don't have a torch and was looking at induction heaters. Came across the popular Amazon brand and saw this one is the lowest price ever. 50% off. ($129 as of this post)

I'm reluctant to buy it based on the reddit discussions about them and I won't drop $500 on a tool I'll (hopefully) barely use.

I have swapped some of my 4runner plugs over to Lexus style, where it is a hex top so you can use a socket. For all the smart Toyota does, not sure why they chose hex plugs.

I know one of the biggest problems with them failing is people pressing the button and cranking them on from several minutes till they burn up. I always read the instructions and I think it says something like 10 seconds at a time. You can heat the bolt in steps till it gets hot enough.

Yup. I have a Lexus drain plug just waiting to be installed… once I get this fawking Allen head bolt out.

I read that on Reddit. Another poster said that he’s taken hundreds of these apart and it’s all cheap electronics. One being the tiny fan built into the handle- which probably doesn’t work well - hence the need to only cycle it 10 seconds at a time.

Lastly I saw a review for this specific one that says it’s 15” long, 22” long with a coil in it. And 3” in diameter. That seems really cumbersome to try and maneuver in an automotive setting.
