I believe there is a rebate on sunnex impact sockets right now, and I just saw that Amazon is gonna have sunnex sockets on lightning deal early tomorrow, I'm on my phone so I can't do too much copying and pasting links.

None of the Lightning deals match up with with available rebates, but Amazon is offering an additional 20% some sunnex tools.

I did as well, need a good portable set for the cordless impact. Will probably pick up the 3/8 master set this afternoon also.

Seems slow for those of us with Prime.

The one thing I have against buying tools off of jet is you never know who they'll ship from. A digital multimeter I bought from jet shipped from Medco (www.medcocorp.com) instead of the third part seller listed on jet's website. A Wilton BASH hammer I ordered shipped from Grainger instead of the third party seller listed on jet's website. Set of sockets I bought was shipped from a different seller/wholesaler (don't recall which one) than jet listed too.

Overall probably not a big deal but I don't know how it might affect warranty issues a few years down the road.

They won't give me the 20% off because they are trying to say I got a Sunex promo back in October (a completely different promo). I guess you are only eligible for one promo per life according to the customer service drone at Amazon.

If they won't stack the 20% promo I'd cancel the order.

I used the 20% Sunex deal previously and other items that say they are eligible show the promo discount in my cart.

They were $64.99 less 20% off (-$13.00) Sunex Holiday promotion = $51.99 yesterday.

Today's lightning deal = $54.99.

Amazon drops the Sunex promo price but gives $10 off instead. I've noticed this on many lightning deals that had promo deals.

Calling deals "Lightening Deal" may sound like it is a bargain but they aren't always the best deal.

Good psychology move by amazon, but I'll pass.

EDIT: In the end I couldn't resist, sigh. $43.00 (after a couple emails) + tax.

More like a wallet lightening deal, IMO, and I really like amazon but think before you buy...

Of course amazon might jack up the price after the lightning deal higher than it was yesterday.

Talked to a different rep and in about 5 minutes or so, I had the whole thing solved. I got the Lightning Deal and the 20% off. As always with Amazon customer service, it all depends on who you talk to. I still don't know where the first rep got the idea that I could only claim one Sunex discount per lifetime :lol_hitti

Whether you can apply Lightning Deal or holiday promotion

EDIT: Had to threaten to cancel and they finally said they would refund it after it shipped

Tarun: However , In this case the best I can do is that I'll create a follow up on your orders and once your items ships out I'll issue 20% as a refund .

I started a chat before I purchased the item and the guy said to place the order then he adjusted the price to 43.17 plus tax.

I plan to do the same thing for the hex set in an hour.

In looking at it closer I think that Hex Impact set has too many skips for me to consider. It's not a crazy deal either.

Decided to bite after all, mine came to, after a couple emails to Amazon customer service, $43.00 even plus tax.

Just ordered from Jet. No tax in CA and free shipping. I was just in the shop a couple hours ago thinking I needed 1 mm increment set of sockets. Thanks for spending my money!

I got an email last night telling me that I didn't meet all the qualifications for the promo. I guess I will have to call them today and tell them they can either give me the promo or cancel the order. This is ridiculous. They told me on the phone they would refund me the promo amount and now they back out.

I believe they're codes available 20% off $50 or more, or $15 off $50 or more. Great deal.

I got the hex set. I went on chat to get the 20% off. The guy basically said no to that. but then said but since Ive been a member since 2006 he was going ot give me a 10 dollar promtion credit for my account. So a tiny bit more than the 20% and doesnt apply tot he hex bit order but i order a ton from amazon so not worried
