I'm super tempted by those ratchets, particularly the flex ones, but I've been actively trying to avoid buying anything made in Taiwan/PRC/India/etc. if at all possible...but that flex set is cheaper than one SK LP90 ratchet...y'all are killing me. And my wife is gonna kill me if I spend another penny on tools. Thanks for posting these....something to think about for all of about 2 hours.

I'm debating on picking up some Gearwrench 84 tooth ratchets. Lowest price according to camelcamelcamel. I don't need these as I already have too many SK, Pittsburgh Pro, a few Snap-on, Craftsman RP, Tekton 90 T, Hazet, Stahwille, Husky, and Duralast. But the price is tempting. Someone please talk me out of buying these.

Might want to hold off since the 84-tooth is discontinued. They showed it's replacement at SEMA...could mean closeouts on 84-tooth but of course that's going to be a roll of the dice.

Not sure this is warehouse but it is Amazon.

They look nice, but I do not have experience with them.

I bought quite a few of these - you could say I was collecting them.
Two issues:
For occasional use they are great but if you use a specific driver a lot, the green rubber grip inlay will wear off, becomes sticky, nasty.
On many (mainly the less common ones) I found the plastic body has a pronounced molding line, giving them a cheap appearance & feel.
In hindsight I wish I had bought the small Wiha ones instead.

While the ones I got a couple years ago do have a slight mold line, it wasn't nearly as bad ad the Wiha ones I bought. But really it's the bigger spinner cap that does it for me. I hate the tiny ones on the Wiha drivers. They're to small to hold the way I like to hold the spinner in my hand, and they don't spin very well.

Amen. I really thought I'd like the Wiha drivers, but I've found that they roll more easily than the Wera, and I don't like that they lie flat on a work surface instead of having the gap that the Wera drivers have. The bigger spinner cap is another plus, and it has enough room to silver Sharpie the tip style. That's a big beef with both MFRs... no labels on the spinners to show what size/type the driver is. I know it's a cost-cutting measure, but it's annoying.

Not a super-deal (these don't seem to exist anymore on Amazon), but quite decent:

GEDORE 19 DMU-20 1/2" Socket Set (15 pcs)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JDVEB3S/?tag=atomicindus08-20
Usually ships within 1 to 2 months.
$96.93

Issues: Ships in 1-2 months. 14mm is missing (what the heck - stupid Germans. Wait a moment, I am German - never mind)

The good thing (to me at least): six-point. And the set looks very nice sitting in this lovely box.

Prices elsewhere:
KC Tool: $255.12 (reduced from $300.14 - holy cow)
ChadsToolBox: $283.92 (reduced from 338.00 - more very holy cows)
Amazon.de: Euro 121.02
TBS Aachen (often my reference site): 118.88

Made in Germany (you have to be careful with Gedore these days..)

Note: COO and the list below are from KC Tool and I like them for this. Whenever prices allow, I buy from them (unfortunately, most of the time, prices are double of what you would pay in Germany)

INCLUDED:
Gedore 19 DMU-20 1/2" Drive 15 Piece Metric Socket Set
1993 U-20 1/2" square drive ratchet
1/2" square drive socket: 10mm
1/2" square drive socket: 12mm
1/2" square drive socket: 13mm
1/2" square drive socket: 15mm
1/2" square drive socket: 16mm
1/2" square drive socket: 17mm
1/2" square drive socket: 18mm
1/2" square drive socket: 19mm
1/2" square drive socket: 22mm
1/2" square drive socket: 24mm
1/2" square drive socket: 27mm
1/2" square drive socket: 30mm
1/2" square drive socket: 32mm
1/2" square drive straight/wobble extension: 250mm (10")

Not an AWD, but a good price anyway. This may have already been posted since it has been on sale for awhile.

DEWALT Cutting Wheel, All Purpose, 4-1/2-Inch, 5-Pack (DW8062B5)
$2.99
Link

For some reason the price shown on the page is sometimes $2.99 and other times it is $10.**

Look at the bottom of the description paragraph and there is a link to the lower price:

"New (12) from $2.99 & FREE Shipping on orders over $25.00"

Thanks Engine, just ordered a pack. At that price with free shipping (showing early Jan delivery) why not. They're well rated, so that helps :)

On second thought I grabbed a pack of those Dewalt cutting wheels. What was I thinking? All the times I've used my grinding wheels for cutting and for a few bucks I can have actual cutting wheels. I've done my best to cut back and let my income catch up to my spending but sometimes you just have to break your own rules. Thanks Engine.

Thanks, Engine! With Prime and not worried about getting it a week earlier there was an additional $1 towards ebooks and such. Not bad for $3 shipped!

I doesn't work like that.

Ditto that. They had a pretty good deal on some solar panels so I bought four. An hour or so later I decided at that price I should pick up four more. Nope, four was the limit. But I did go back and grab another five cutting disks. At $.60 each I figured why not? Ten will no doubt last the rest of my life.
