Always appreciate the posts Duker & a52-830. :) I've scored a few nice things cheap from you guys, and like everyone else a few duds...

I like to hear the good and the bad, like someone else said it lets us know some people got great deals, and also lets us know not to order the same item someone just returned that was broken.

Does Amazon list any basis for what their level of used is? I've been wanting a park tool professional repair stand for bicycles, would have loved a double arm but its been a struggle to even want to spend the 400.00 that even a single arm stand can cost. On Sat they listed a single arm stand as used acceptable for 270. I decided that since these last for decades in a shop environment it couldn't been too badly damaged, they're heavy gauge chromed steel tubing; what could fail that wouldn't be a warranty issue. The box that showed up looked rough but the stand itself was in flawless shape, no missing hardware, dents, nothing. My wife tried pointing out a scratch but it was tape adhesive that wiped off. The advertising sticker they toss in all their boxes was shredded and half gone but that was it. Not a single thing was wrong yet somehow its only acceptable?
Plus side, it let me whip out the 4 bicycle tune ups I've needed to do which would have been close to 300.00 at a local shop; down side I discovered the wife's bike needs a new 155.00 bottom bracket. At least it will be easy to replace with a stand to work on.

It's based on what they can see when grading it. In my experience they don't open the box so it could be a pristine box with a cat turd inside and marked like new, or a box that looks like it was blown up and the thing inside is untouched. So random.

What kind of bb is she running that is 155? Is it ceramic? For ceramic i am very impressed with the kogel stuff. I'm a bike mechanic by trade
