Got the usual (it happens) single item on each. The titles and description all had multiples (12-pack, 6-pack, box) and most were amazon sold (except one). Got a full refund on everything and kept the files. Took an hour to get through the process (I did chat. Why did I do chat) and had to repeat myself multiple times and did the legwork for them.
Still, free files.
I forgot how shoddy most Nicholson files are made now days. Yeesh, some of these are lousy. I mainly bought Bahco's before, but they seem to have mostly dissapeared on Amazon or gone third party with singles only (or $50-100+ per box). The best one is a babbit file, but it also has dings/nicks all-along the face. The worst is a ******* 10" that has what feels like indents along one face.
The corners were usually never touched off on most of the files and have raised burs that are uneven and will cause problems if not knocked off. They need some work before use (except the babbit).
The file/hacksaw drawer is for my new/untouched files. I have a few slightly used (this is at home) but most of these have a single file pulled for use at my storage unit anyways (leftover from school mainly).
The other pictures show the various burs and indents on the files that just show worn tooling and slack work tolerances/QC from the Nicholson works in Mexico. I circled the first indent that you can actually feel along the face, but it goes the whole length every .4" or so.
Stick with Bahcos if you can for a cheap good file. Also, sorry for the lousy camera focusing and lighting. Basement with LED's and a phone camera tend to make focusing hard.
