It took reading the manual to get used to the modes for sure. I don't have AGM so that took that part out.
I have an old farm tractor that is still 6V so that mode help there.

Did you see thes webpages, which I found helpful?

It is a little complicated because it has a lot of functions. I hope you found a better fit.

I got that charger last time they did it, tested it, tried to like it, wasn't impressed and sent it back. For being smart it sure was overly complicated.

What was complicated about it? Push a button until the mode you want is selected and then leave it. ??? I have two, use them all the time and found it is no more complicated than any other battery charger that has selectable options. There is only 1 button to push, push it multiple times until the mode you want is selected and done, takes all of 1-3 seconds to select the mode.

Glad it's working for you. If you care enough to want more details my $20 schumacher that automatically selects six or twelve volts and has zero buttons had better results than the g3500 did on the ten dubious batteries I had and I tested it out on. Honestly it preformed so poorly I would have thought I got a dud, except that I bought two thinking they seemed nice.

These can be very handy... like when a certain someone plugs the compressor into the waste oil tank not realizing the valve is on.... as 3 quarts of oil drain onto the floor.... just saying....
