You guys are worrying me because I thought I bought a "used acceptable" CDI digital torque wrench but it was the PI wrench that was "used acceptable". The CDI was "used very good". In any case, I guess we'll see when it shows up.

I just ignore those ratings they are arbitrary, just want and see what you get, and if it is bad, send it back for free.

Normally I do this, and usually it's better than expected. I guess my concern would be specifically with something like this or especially with finer measurement devices (dial indicators, etc.) that it doesn't take a whole lot of mishandling to knock them out of calibration. For the average homeowner, they'll probably still be fine but at lower torques a couple of in-lbs or lb-ft can make a big difference.

I could not agree more. The ratings are completely arbitrary. I have bought things that were advertised as ‘like new” that arrived completely trashed, and things marked “acceptable” that were in new sealed boxes. Overall, most of my experiences have been positive. Most of the Warehouse items I’ve purchased were complete and in good order - often with nothing worse than a lightly damaged shipping box. On the occasion that it arrived in bad shape, I returned it painlessly and free.

Whenever buying a "used" precision instrument i recommend having a way of verifying accuracy. for measurement devices if you have a second device or a known "standard" you can confirm at least two things measure the same. For torque wrenches i bought a digital torque adapter that i use inline with my torque wrench on occasion to confirm that they are within a reasonable calibration.

Grabbed the vise mount. I have another hitch vise mount but it just comes straight out, so very low to work on (though that one was designed to save space and use out on the trails), this should be good for using at home!

Thanks dunker. I’m going to give that exhaust fan a try for my shop. I’m jealous of whoever got that drill press vise.

Well the CDI Computorq 3 arrived. It's in really good shape! And to my surprise it arrived with a NIST certificate dated February 2020. Thanks for the tip!

Not a warehouse deal, but great price on these replacement ear cushion for 3M Worktunes and Peltor (not all, so check model). They're gel and really comfy (though put a finger under them to break the seal when removing them) as well as a bit taller to give more room for ears. Full 3M brand attached to a new backplate, so no third party or knockoff having to glue onto old backplate, and one of the better prices I've seen (bought my first replacement around $26 and it's been great). Easy upgrade if pads are wearing out or uncomfortable.

$18.36 - 3M Gel Hearing Protector Replacement Ear Cushion Hygiene Kit, 1 pair, works with WorkTunes (90543), Peltor Sport (97040, 97041, 97042, TAC300, TAC500, 90565 and 90566)

On 3M website: $49.99 via Enviro Saftey Products, they're only listed distro
