Wiha SYSTEM 4 ESD Safe Mini Micro Bit Set, 39 Piece
$39 normally $54
The $39 sets were Used, which to me is a red flag. At least four people thought so little of the set, they sent it back.Bummer they went back up to $54, saved me $39. The Amazon page indicates the COO is China
Not necessarily. Sometimes it’s just damaged packaging. I bought a “used/refurbished” Chromebook a couple of years ago and it arrived brand new in a factory sealed box that had a small scuff on one end.The $39 sets were Used, which to me is a red flag. Could be cosmetic damage to the metal box. Could be bad actors planning on returning it, possibly with a few bits left out.The $39 sets were Used, which to me is a red flag. At least four people thought so little of the set, they sent it back.
I was sloppy. The yellow bit holder handle has magnetic retention and there is some free play. The black one, which I see in the thumbnail of the eBay listing, is the one I’ve spent more time with. It’s fantastic. There’s no magnet. Instead, there’s a spring steel clip around the nose that squeezes the plastic right around the bit. Simple and super effective…but you might have to use pliers to get the bits back out. This is fine—usually if I’m changing bits frequently I’ll just use the extension (which is magnetic).@zack20cb mentioned the bits locking in place, but reviewers are saying the exact opposite. (…)
But, what the heck. @2manytools, here they are on eBay, $42. I may or may not have ordered one...

Don't put the Gedore set in the trunk... Thats what Pittsburg are for.Spent too much lately? Hehe yeah I know the feeling. I just let the forum talk me into a Gedore socket set which I really can’t claim that I need. But I did find that their demolition screwdrivers lived up to the hype, and maybe I should be carrying some metric sockets into trunk…
Honestly, it was the black handle that got my attention on eBay as well. I saw the yellow in the Amazon add, so I took a chance that it's the better version.I was sloppy. You made the right choice, I think, assuming that set has a good selection of bits for your use case....
Yup. If what you’re looking for is rock solid retention you will not be disappointed!Honestly, it was the black handle that got my attention on eBay as well. I saw the yellow in the Amazon add, so I took a chance that it's the better version.
I'm sure I will. I picked up this Tone set last week, mainly for the ratchet, but it sees to be a quality get. to be honest, I'm still not sure how Amazon Japan, recognized me, but it was smooth ordering and arrived lickety-split.Yup. I used to work in retail and I used to see people come in all the time, buy a tool, take it home and use it, then bring it back the next day to return it. Wouldn't be surprised if some of these returns were the same thingThe $39 sets were Used, which to me is a red flag. At least four people thought so little of the set, they sent it back.
My experience with Amazon new/used warehouse deals has been excellent.I used to work in retail and I used to see people come in all the time, buy a tool, take it home and use it, then bring it back the next day to return it. Wouldn't be surprised if some of these returns were the same thing

I'm well aware and have had perfect luck thus far with Warehouse deals. My Spidey senses just tingles on this Wiha deal for some reason, then I saw the yellow capped handle.I used to work in retail and I used to see people come in all the time, buy a tool, take it home and use it, then bring it back the next day to return it. The fact that they always take Warehouse stuff back with no questions asked is what makes it work.My experience with Amazon new/used warehouse deals has been excellent.
