The 5X series appears to be fixed base, and the 6X series appears to be swivel base, however I think the only difference is the base being added. (fairly common practice) the List Drives pointed to is also on page 1 of this very thread, and is probably the source for the list.

I have a 6" No 66 red seal AS (number cast in, not stamped) and its missing the swivel base. (also a common occurrence.)

Just picked up a No.53 red seal at the local antique store in Madison Wisconsin. It's in great shape. I can't wait to get it to my shop and put it to use.

You bought a American Real Seal #58 for sure with the "Stationary Base" per this catalog page I have saved. Catalog reads it weighs in at 240 pounds as you can see.
