Royce and Kevin, you two are the BEST! Thanks for all the great build entertainment and learning!

You guys are more dangerous than a pair of bored 10yr olds on a late August afternoon.

Kevin: "Let's build a rocket to the moon!"
Royce: "I have something out back we can use for that..."

Royce, that came out so nice. What a beast. Really cannot tell the size of this vise and stand. I love the light and will copy your design. Great idea.

I want to buy a calendar with all your creations. Just a thought.

Kevin,
Thanks for all you did for this project and your kind words.

Yes, the pics don't capture the massiveness of it.
I thought I knew how big a 8"vise was, until you sent this one!
I put about 100 pounds of punchings in the column, so all in, it should scale out about 750 pounds.

The light is a necessity for old burn outs like us!!!

A calendar would be fun, maybe I can con my bride into ramrodding that project.

fantastic. I agree the pics don't do that size of that vise or the stand any justice. I saw that vise at Kevins shop last year. I'd almost venture it to be one of the larger 8" vises out there....

Wow. That's really, really cool. I really enjoyed these posts and will now go out and find other "royce" masterpieces.

Thanks!

I had an inquiry about this stand this evening and that brought back a good memory of building one of my favorite stands.
It was really involved but turned out pleasing, to at least my eye.
Anyhow thought it warranted bumping it for those that may not of seen it.
