There's been some discussion on different threads regarding the AMGO RJ-6H hand hydraulic pump rolling bridge jack use on a Benpak four-post lift.
My lift is an HD-9XW, which is the extra tall extra long 9000 lb lift. The previous thread discussed its use on an 11,000 lb lift, which has taller runway depth, and subsequently lower j channels for the rolling jack to ride upon. I wanted to post some pictures of the unit on this lift to help others.
Shout out to Suda for answering questions and his original post here. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum...ng-bridge-jack-work-on-a-bendpak-lift.529271/
I ordered the lift from Heavy Lift Direct in South Carolina. Https://heavyliftdirect.com. I get the impression I may have just purchased the last unit in the United States due to import and tariff complications. Ben did not have a backorder date. The final delivery price was $1,575, which included liftgate service and the delivery guy rolled the pallet jack right into my garage.
The unit comes in a crude angle iron metal frame for delivery. It gets the job done, and now I have practice welding material. The unit arrived unscathed. I used my engine hoist to offload it from the frame and then set the jack on a milk crate to reposition between the two runways of the four post lift. After that, it's just a matter of raising the lift and adjusting the roller arms the correct width for the j channels.
The rollover height without jack pads is 3.25 in. The minimum width of the upper surface is 35 in. So if you have any low hanging fruit such as exhausts, oil pans or suspension bits, this may pose an issue. I considered this with my small project car, but figured I could always add 2x6 boards to boost it up over the jack height, if needed.
With the jack fully raised, the upper platform surface is 12 in above the runway. With both pad extenders and the pads installed, the highest height is 17.25 in. The highest safety locking position is approximately 17 in.
Suda had the one complaint that the jack pump arm is straight and often requires many small pumps before the vehicle is high enough to increase the stroke. Fully extended, the handle is about 13" above the runway surface. I have seen other designs where the arm is S shaped and offset from the hydraulic unit, that allows more throw beneath a vehicle. I may consider this depending on how frustrating it gets.
One issue that I found upon lowering the lift is that the jack is going to sit on the ground with the lift all the way down. So that means the rollover height is actually 3.75 in and will possibly require the jack to be prepositioned at the front, then rolled into position under the car.
The one hazard I am seeing and the first mod that this thing will be getting is a piece of pipe insulation foam around the pump bracket. Those corners mean business!
Please let me know if you have any questions. I know this forum survives on others input, and I am grateful for its content.
