Thought I'd pop an update here.
I recently acquired 5x Ampro Pliers.
I was disappointed to see these were made in China and not Taiwan like all the other Ampro tools I'd come across.
The larger of the multi Pliers I acquired and one of the long nose Pliers are Chrome Nickel while the rest are Chrome vanadium.
The small slip joint Pliers have exceeded my expectation, easily removing relatively small staples from shelving wood bought at home depot holding the label on, I didn't think the ends of these Pliers would grip the staple but they did with ease. Did that for shits and giggles ,however , the larger Chrome Nickel multi Pliers, I damaged the teeth trying to remove a dry wall screw that the head had broken off of, but gripping into it and trying to turn it counter clockimwise , the thread of the drywall screw scored the teeth of the Pliers after just a few attempted rotations.
As far as AmPro Pliers go , mixed experience , where one exceeded my expectation and based on that , the other was worse than what I expected.
As far as my wrench set and sockets sets , still very happy with those but I probbaly won't buy more Ampro Pliers as its hit /miss, I didn't lose much really at $30 for the 5 for NOS and I guess I'll have them for when I'm doing something I shouldn't do with Pliers and I'll use them as i won't feel sorry for them.
The slip joints in the Pic below, they're a little dusty
