Okay, so I just scored a killer deal on a Pelican 1600 (21.5x16.5x8.5")case from my friend and I decided to go ahead and shadow out my main tool set that I use for working on the truck and motorcycle. He said that a dremel was the way to go and man did that thing fly through this foam, used an aluminum oxide grinding stone in 2 sizes. surprisingly, the dremel running at 3.5-4k RPM does the trick for this job. Not sure exactly what type of foam this is as it came with the case, but I think it's the stuff that comes from Pelican
First off, a pic of the case

A picture of the layout process, basically laying out the tools in good order and then tracing them with a silver Sharpie

Another shot of the same, i would recommend doing this outside unless you want to do a ton of cleanup. For deeper tools, I just cut deeper into the foam using multiple passes.
