-That's too bad it didn't turn the way you had wanted it to, was rooting for you and "the team" but if that was the right thing to do then the right decision was made. Still like the Mercedes, look forward to a thread on it.

Jesse, I posted something on this thread a couple of years ago about the investment in yourself. Im happy for you that you lived this experience with a place like this. Im sure you would agree that this place was more than just a building that you rented. It was an experience workshop. It was a place that molded you into the person you are today. I think most of us on here are striving for that every time we are in our shops or garages. If its through project vehicles, or something we can make with our hands, or even hosting parties or cookouts, we are all always learning and growing in one way or another. Thank you for sharing your adventure over the last few years and I am looking forward to what you do in the future.

I almost never post on forums and am typically content lurking on topics and threads I find interesting.

I feel obligated to post and say, "thanks for taking us along for the ride." Your creativity, willingness to step outside the comfort zone, and ability to effectively communicate all of this to a forum of strangers has been fun to see. Good luck with everything else you decide to do- and feel free to take some of us lurkers along for the next chapter (in the form of a new thread- or continuance in this one!).

I was sub'd to this thread and found it interesting. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. I think you have a great attitude and you learned some valuable lessons. Oh, and thank you for not posting any photos of your finger, that sounded like a very painful accident! :bounce:

Thank you for sharing everything during your journey with this space. Sad to see it go (even though I only experienced it vicariously), but looking forward to seeing what you do next!

Thanks for the kind words, yall...much appreciated. It's always cool to know people are following along.

If you wanna see what other stuff I'm up to/thinking about, I have a blog here, and a collection of other forum threads on this page :) I'll post back here when I get around to making a separate thread for the Mercedes, too.

To you too! And to everyone else who might be following this thread :)

One fun note for the people who said they wanted to follow along with whatever I do after Highside...I'm starting a repair business, and I'm planning to document the process of starting it, and the reasons why I'm doing it, on YouTube. I just put out the first video here:

The video's a little bit all over the place, but I'm still pretty new to storytelling in video format. Text/photo is much more my lane, but the number of potential audience members (and collaborators, which is the real reason I'm on YouTube) is so much larger in video. I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to keep trying to document the whole process on GJ I started, but I'd like to. Just a lotta different platforms to keep up with!
