Anchor Substitution for Portable 2 Post

I've been researching lifts for my garage, and when it comes to 2-Post lifts, I'm mostly limited by size and height. If I go with a 2-post, it will need to be portable, so I don't give up a garage bay. I've drilled a test hole, and the concrete is 4.5" at that spot. Spec is 4" @ 3000PSI.

MaxJax calls for PD-58 or PS2-58. I've read on this board about all the issues people have had with the PD-58, so looking to go with epoxy. The PS2-58 is going to be well through the concrete, diminishing the capability to some unknown extent. Looking at the PS2-12, it appears I can use that to its stated specs since it has a length of 3 11/16 and a hole depth of 4 1/8. Its Tensile strength can be slightly higher than the PD-58. Has anyone done this, or tell me why this is a terrible thing to consider?

You should not downsize the bolts from 5/8 to 1/2”. Bad idea.

Either replace a chunk of the concrete (go thicker) and use the epoxy anchors or go with the wedge anchors. You don’t have enough thickness for the epoxy anchors.

Not all epoxies are the same and have a property called "creep", which is a problem for lift posts where some bolts are under tension. They also require a higher level of attention to detail in the installation and some skill to install.

(The wedge type of anchors are idiot-proof. If wedge anhors have a problem, we feel it right at the install. If expoxy anchors have a problem, we don't know until they fail spectacurly.)

If you have a need for Expoxy anchors, I recommend taking some uncertainty out of the equation and using MaxJax's parts and blessed kit: https://www.maxjax.com/pub/media/downloads/MaxJax-Epoxy-Anchor-Kit-Adhesive-5215912.pdf
